PolarWrap™ Exchanger® Headcover

  • Reduces stiffness and numbness
  • Eliminates up to 40% of heat loss
  • No condensation or freeze up
This headcover's patented thermal exchange device captures heat and water vapor from every breath you exhale and uses this energy to warm and humidify the next incoming breath. And it does this without creating unwanted condensation or freeze up. This thermal exchange keeps your core temperature warmer and keeps your head, hands and feet warmer by eliminating up to 40% of heat loss. Hunt or enjoy other outdoor activities longer by keeping more comfortable in cold conditions. Field-tested in the extreme conditions of Antarctica and on the Iditarod Trail Dog Sled Race in Alaska. Headcover covers nose, ears, mouth, neck and head. Flexibility allows you to pull the mask under your chin, to blow a call. One size fits most.

Worth every dime

I must tell how great this product is. I am 6'5" and about 300lbs with chronic bronchitis. I purchased this last January so I could fulfill a life long(35 year) dream to snowmobile Yellowstone Nat. Park with my brother. With my lungs cold air just causes havoc on my lungs. It is because of how well this product worked I was able to fulfill my dream. This product was amazing on how well it captured my breath to heat the incoming air so I had no reactions to the cold. It was worth every dime. This product made my dream come true.

Awesome Product and idea!!!!

Just want to clear something up about some of the negative reviews. I've been using the product since it first came out(for 6 or 7 years) it works. I am very skeptical about hunting products and their claims.
For all of the complainers that they may not work well with glasses or it may not fit every one's nose perfectly or if you are moving and working excessively hard where you need excess to more air or you can't anchor your bow perfectly.
ANSWER.
Just slide or pull the front of the mask down under your chin it is made out of good quality material and will go right back in place (good memory).
Breathing through your mouth is the right idea you can inhale and exhale better with your mouth when you have to inhale or exhale hard to warm the coils with your breath (like snorkling}. (Try doing this with your nose and that could end up becoming a mess)
Now to my review. I use to leave early because my lungs were damage from pneumonia and years of smoke abuse. With this mask, I can stay on stand longer I prefer the full mask because you can adjust down half way if you have to for clearer hearing. But for under 30 degrees, I add a heavier Hat for Head warmth. I don' t mind layering. By breathing in warm air you can stay on stand longer and keeps your feet and hands warmer longer., When your core temperature drops the body reduces circulation to the extremities (hands, fingers, toes, feet). So the longer your core temperature stays warm the longer you can stay out.
I hunt the coldest days down to about zero at times in VA's mountains in December. I can do the Duration.
I hope this helps anyone who is as skeptical as I am.
