It’s hard to improve a classic, but we did. We combined the proven performance of GORE-TEX and Thinsulate Insulation with Cabela’s-exclusive Silent Suede fabric. This unique suedelike fabric provides an excellent fit with durability and quietness. Fold the 2" brim up or down in back. Imported.

Jones style hat

I received one of the goretex/thinsulate Jones hats for Christmas this past year. This is one of the warmest hats I have ever owned. I have not had a chance to wear it in the rain or heavy snow, but it has been in the teens and low twenties for the last couple of weeks and this hat is really warm. I wear it every evening when feeding my livestock and it keeps my head warm. I have not had a chance to wear it on a hunting trip, yet, but I just ordered another one in Blaze orange for next deer season. I am very satisfied with this hat.

not a Jones style hat, sizing runs small

I was expecting a hat that had some structure to it, this one has very little. This hat is a beanie with a small brim and band stitched into it. It seems that this hat is a blend of a beanie with a Jones hat pattern that resulted in something less than either original style might provide.

I have an old one from Cabela's I really like, the new ones (Bought two with deep discounts) and will send both back. They do not stand up on the sides and wear like a beenie rather than a cap.
If you buy the current ones, don't think they resemble a Jones cap.

NOT QUITE WHAT I EXPECTED IN STYLE, BUT GOOD!

I PURCHASED ONE OF THESE CAPS IN MOSSY OAK BREAK-UP AND WAS DISAPPOINTED IN THE FACT THAT THE BRIM WAS LONGER THAN ANY OTHER JONES CAP I HAVE OWNED, THE BRIM DOES NOT STAY UP ON THE SIDES AND BACK. HOWEVER IT IS VERY WARM, WATERPROOF AND LOOKS GREAT. ALL IN ALL I WOULD RATE IT A 4 OUT OF 5
