Cabela's Outfitter Microfleece Watch Cap

This cap was received just before a planned trip to Northern Quebec for caribou. The weather presented rain, snow, wind, cold, and on a few days, sunshine. The cap was very warm and comfortable. Several other hunters had their headgear blow off in the wind, but this watchcap stayed seecure and comfortable. I plan to wear it on an Arizona elk hunt the day after Thanksgiving.

Size was the problem here. I ordered my regular size and the cap turned out to be a tight fit. It may have just been that particular cap. Even so, I would suggest ordering larger size if you don't want a snug fit.

This cap hugged and kept my head warm all day up and down the slopes. I really like the tone-down outfitter camo color/pattern.

Feeding Cap in Wind and Snow

I bought this cap off the recommendations at this site. I appreciate that. I wear a 7 1/2 and it fits and keeps the wind and cold OUT!
My old cap was too short and was always pulling up off my ears plus was thin and let the wind blow through it .. not so with this cap .. excellent and the colors match my hooded work jacket. We have coyotes and now wolves coming in to the stock. This blends in better than any ski color .. which can spook just about anything.
The neck warmer is longer than my ski type warmer, blocks the wind better and will cover my nose and mouth in the extreme weather when it hurts to work hard .. breathe the air .. without some barrier.
My wife has worked E.R. for 24 years .. has seen people that rolled their 4x4's taking risks in the boonies .. walked out with frozen feet etc. because they didn't pay attention to what they bought .. and what they wore. Always buy the best .. you will never be sorry .. and it is usually cheaper in the long run.
