Disappointed
Date:
Saw these "mittens" in a sale flyer & ordered them because they were "mittens." Dougli is right on. They will not cut it in really cold weather in the high country.

Best I have used
Date:
I got these for Christmas last year and they lived in my bass boat. When you fish in the rain a lot of gloves tend to pull the inards out when you have wet hands and put them on and off. These mittens do not do that. The are also warm and water proof.
I then took them to the Lake Tahoe Ski slopes during very cold times on the mountain. They did great. My son loved them so much they found their way into his snow board bag so I have them on my Christmas list again.
HIghy recommended.

mittens are good for about an hour and half
Date:
Paddling in the Chesapeake Bay in the winter requires gloves that are truly water and wind proof. The mittens come close to working, but when they wet out they become soggy, heavy and cold. However, they are the best at protecting my old arthritic wraists and hands of the many gloves I've tried.

Good but not good enough
Date:
These are well made and warm. What keeps them from getting 5 stars is that they have finger dividers. If you've ever had to put on wet mittens over wet hands, you know how hard that is. Well, it's much more difficult when the mittens have finger dividers. These finger dividers also keep the fingers from being as warm as they could be, because they're kept apart from each other. The whole point of mittens is to have a common air space so the fingers can share warmth. Because of the design these mittens are OK, but not good enough.
