Cabela's GORE-TEX® Pinnacle Mittens

  • 150-gram Thinsulate Supreme in palms, 300 on the back
Even the near-arctic cold and freezing precipitation of the dead of winter can’t break through the superior warmth and waterproof protection of our GORE-TEX Pinnacle Mittens. Divided-finger fleece linings manage hand perspiration. The top-grade deerskin leather palms offer superior durability, yet remain soft and flexible, even in subzero temperatures. The waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX membranes keep heat-robbing moisture out of the mitten’s interior. The palms have 150-gram Thinsulate™ Supreme Insulation and the backs have 300-gram insulation providing more loft than the original for incredible warmth without affecting the breathability of the GORE-TEX linings. Imported.

Really warm mittens

Never owned mittens before so I didn't know what to expect. Truth is with these finger dividers they feel like gloves. So far Ive only worn them skiing for 5 hours in 30 degree weather. Must say these gloves were so hot they were making my hands sweat. Would recommend these gloves for 20 degrees and colder. Stayed waterproof the hole time. Very comfortable gloves.

You can't go wrong with these Cabela's mittens

I ordered two pair of Cabela\u2019s GORE-TEX Pinnacle mittens (one pair for my wife and one pair for me). We\u2019ve worn them in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods of time and our hands have been as warm as toast. In my opinion, these mittens have been beautifully designed and constructed using the best materials known \u2013 super-soft and comfortable divided-finger fleece lining; 150-gram Thinsulate Supreme Insulation on the palm-side, and 300-gram on the back; water-proof but breathable GORE-TEX; soft (grippy) deerskin leather palm with a second layer sewn into the thumb joint; and a plethora of retaining/hook-together/wrist snugging features. If I took these back to the lab for analysis, I wouldn\u2019t change a thing. These mittens are a perfect example of why Cabela\u2019s is the World\u2019s Foremost Outfitter!

WARM MITTENS ???

Mittens are generally better than gloves due to skin to skin heat inside. These mittens have a fleece glove inside to keep hands from getting "clammy". They are a little better than a glove but your fingers still get cold pretty quick. Give me a "clammy" mitten anyday!!
The rest of the mitten is good Cabela quality. Wish they made just a mitten.

I bought this pair of gloves last year, in the beginning they were fine... Within a month or two one of the gloves SHRUNK down at least 2 sizes if not more... Very dissapointed... Not usaable anymore... I'd look at others before considering these...
