i bought these pants for elk guiding in BC canada , they were very warm n also waterproof. but they are so LOUD its like wearing snow pants. impossible to be stealth with these bad boys on.

Oufitter's Wool Pants - Warm and Dry

I use these elk hunting in Colorado at 10,000+ feet where the weather can get pretty nasty. These "woolies" have kept me warm even in the worst storms with temperatures in the teens and 25+ mph winds. They stay dry even when laying in snow while stalking game and wear like iron.
