I bought these for hunting coyotes and deer during snowy times. I live on the prairies so the snow/grass pattern blends in great with the terrains i hunt in. I just had these on today while i was hunting coyotes in windy conditions with temps at the freezing point. I sat in the snow for 20 minutes at a time and my pants underneath never got wet while i left a spot of ice where my butt was in the snow, my rear end did get cold since they are not insulated but i didn't get wet. Also while walking in the wind these pants never allowed the wind to pass through them. I was very impressed with these bibs as they were just what i wanted in a bib that is not insulated since much of my hunting is done with temps that are close to freezing when an insulated garment is too much. As for the noise, they did make some noise when i was "trucking it", but when i was walking slowly as in a "stalk" they were quiet enough as i couldn't hear them. The only things i would do different to make these bibs outstanding would be side openings to get to your pants underneath, and a quieter material if thats possible, and last would be the slightest bit of a insulation at the butt area for sitting in the snow. I know these are meant as covering over your existing insulated camo but these are a great advantage to have for hunting prairies during the winter.
1st time to wear on coyote hunt proved out the camo versatility of the this bib & jacket. Sat up in the snow & called in coyotes. Total concealment. Only shortfall is not having a slash-through opening in the bibs to access pockets of under garments. Also, waterproofing works. Over-sizing is spot on & allows for easy in/out of the garments.
