Good addition to layer system for fishing

I have a medium-weight rainsuit that could use a layer underneath during cold rainy weather. I borrowed the GuideWear concept and used this jacket. under my loose-fitting rainsuit. This jacket is not bulky, so it makes a great layer under the rainsuit in colder months. Where it shines is that morning 70 mph run on cool/damp days. The windshear is key for keeping the chill at bay. When I stop, it breathes so I don't get clammy from moisture buildup. It was just what I needed. No drawbacks so far!

Great Jacket

I had shoulder surgery in February and needed a coat that would go over me and my arm (in a sling). I found this jacket on Cabelas and the price was right. I was only able to wear this jacket over typical button-work shirts. Despite the 20-30 degree weather I was toasty warm. It keep the wind from chilling me, wore well and has absolutely no signs of wear. The zipper was easy to use even with only one functional hand. I'm out of my sling and am disappointed that I don' thave this jacket in a size that is actually my size (I had to order a 3XL to fit over my slung arm).

This is my favorite jacket. The fact that it's water resistant and wind resistant make it extra warm. Living in the mountains like I do, that is important.
It's also lightweight and looks good too.
