Irish Setter Kangaroo GORE-TEX® Oxford

Once you slip your feet into the comfort of kangaroo leather footwear, you'll never settle for less. This amazing material is even more durable than conventional leather, but weighs even less. The GORE-TEX® liner keeps moisture out while permitting moisture vapor to escape. The dual-density polyurethane footbed of the Oxford soaks up ground shock. The worn saddle full-grain leather mud guard adds an extra layer of protection from scuffs.
Color: Dark Brown.
Men's sizes: 8-14 D; 8-13 EE width. Half sizes to 12.

Best walking Shoe Ever

I have purchased Gore-Tex Oxfords from Cables for over 10 years. They make great walking shoes because of the support they provide as well as the waterproof Gore-Tex. When I saw the Irish Setter Kangaroo Oxfords I knew I had to try them. They where all I expected and more. The softness of the Kangaroo makes these feel broken it the firat time you wear them. I have been wearing them regualarly for over three months and they are my favorite shoes to wear.

Problem shoes

I guess I'm the guy who got the substandard pair. Unfortunately, right out of the box my shoes were not water proof or even water resistant, which was one of the major reasons for buying them. In addition, they developed a strange squeaking noise inside the soles. It would be one shoe then the other. I tried several remedies, and nothing worked. My wife commented that she always knew where I was when I was wearing these shoes.
I would have returned them immediately for replacement, but we were living out of country and did not have mail service.
I would love to have been able to recommend these shoes, but with two clear defects, that won't be happening.
