Great-looking and durable suede and nubuck uppers offer the 100% waterproof and breathable moisture protection of GORE-TEX® linings. Padded tongues and collars team with removable foot-conforming Air-Active® insoles to surround feet in cushioned comfort. EVA-cushioned heels and polyurethane midsoles team to provide additional supportive comfort. Nonmarking rubber outsoles are outfitted with a debris-shedding lug pattern that delivers superb traction wherever your day takes you. Imported.

These shoes use a foot model that is wider and taller than the usual athletic shoe model, and fit my foot better than almost any other shoe I have worn. The support in the sole is excellent, and the lacing is fast and easy. Laces are a bit long, as another reviewer mentioned. You can walk or stand all day in these shoes.
Highly recommended.

solid shoe

Order a full size smaller than normal (ie order a 9 if you are typically a 10). I actually feel a little roomy even a full size down but can lace tight and compensate.
These were comfortable out of the box, even after about 20 miles across varying terrain. Solid support in arch and neutral position (not forward leaning, etc.)
Another plus, they look decent enough that you could wear these around town without looking like a hiking geek, which definitely could not be said about some other shoes in this price range.

Bought these shoes two weeks ago and wear them every day! I have a wide foot and have a hard time getting shoes that fit and these fit perfectly. I walk 10-15 miles per week and have no problems.

normally i wear a 14D however these shoes in 13D fit perfectly. the foot insert in several other menidls (as well as most shoes on the market!) do not fit my feet and have to replace them. gortex, as well, is essential for where i live-pac.nw. excellent shoe if your feet are essential to you, you can't go wrong with these. now on sale!
