The new design is a step backward

I have been wearing these (original) shorts for the past several years and they could not have been better. Great fit, and the stretch factor adds to the comfort. They wear like iron.
The best shorts I have owned , and close to a 5-star rating......................................
Unfortunately the new design changes and manufacturer doesn't make the grade. Even the material feels lighter in weight, and the pockets with buttons on the old style were better than the new style flat pockets with velcro.
I would pay more for the original style and design. It will be interesting to see how well the new design wears compared to the original.

Great Short, Limited Sizing

This is a great all-around short, plenty of pockets and good value for the money. Unlike past years, this item and its counterpart in full-length hiker's pants does not come in odd-number waist sizes. So, you have to buy something that doesn't fit quite right, then have it altered for a proper fit. It ends up not being a good value for the money.

Assembled/sewn nicely comfortable shorts in design and material. Excellent for casual wear and working environments. Larger sized belt loops for accurate support around the waistline. Nice variety of color shades. Would like to see them in a 6\u2019 inch inseam.
