There is nothing "ultimate' or 'roc' about these pants. I bought them to climb one of Colorado's 14'ers this summer. I climbed two. By the end of the second trip these pants were literally full of holes. They did not stand up to rocky terrain at all. They are nice and light and they fit great but there is nothing 'ultimate' about them. I expected a much tougher material but any little hard surface is a danger and will cause a hole. Briars punctured them, rocks tore them. I will be returning mine. They might be good for casual wear but they are not a serious hiker's pant regardless of the name.

I bought these pants for a backpacking trip and was well pleased. They are light weight and quick drying but also durable and snag resistent. I have purchased quick drying clothing in the past and found that they are usually delicate and snag easily. These pants are different. Most of the trip was spent bush whacking without a trail and these paints made it through just fine. I also liked the extra zipp pocket and storage pocket below the main pockets.
