I purchased these for skiing two years ago and like them very much, not very feminine, but they sure do keep me warm. Then last January I wore them during a photography class in Yellowstone park. The last day of class warmed up to -12 with a lot of standing around in a brisk wind waiting for the perfect shot. I was easily one of the warmest people in class! I did wear them with long johns and a thin pair of polyester pants. I highly recommend them for outdoor activities in winter.
I bought these to work and fish in during winter here in Alaska. They are great except the fact if you wash them they shrink up. I will buy them again but a size or two bigger than I need.
There is no reason to look any further for a pair of cold weather work overalls. These are the toughest, warmest, most functional overalls around. The lining keeps you toasty on cold days. The duck outer shell prevents cuts and scrapes. There are pockets galore as well as hammer loops. These have it all.
