The rugged New Zealand-style canvas hat keeps sun and rain off your face and neck. Styled after hats worn by river fishing guides around the world, it has a vented crown and a secure double pull cord. I fish for slamon in the ocean in Sitka, Alaska every year & the Outback Trading River Guide Canvas Hat is the perfect weather-challenged hat for this pleasure. The hat is made expertly & wears well; it's sturdy, water proof & the wide brim shades & protects from the sun & rain. The snaps on the sides of the crown of the hat allow for holding up the sides Aussie-style. Great idea! Overall, it's both very rugged & looks great. It was a bargain!
