This hat goes beyond it's description. I bought this hat one year ago this past Christmas . Although it is not listed as a , crusher , The other day I was unloading a 3500 GMC off a roleback , and the hat got knocked off and the truck rolled over it . I thought that was the end of my nice hat . I picked it up and pushed the top back up , got the dirt and mud off of it. It came wright back in shape and it looked just as good as before. It keeps the sun and rain and snow off and takes abuse like no other hat I have ever had . I would recomend this one to any body that needed tough , good quality hat. Thanks for high quality products !!!!!!!

I was looking for a good wide brimmed hat that could handle the rigors of constant field work (I'm a map maker) and bushcraft. This hat definitely fits the bill. It sheds water well, yet when I hike in hotter weather my doesn't seem to get very hot and muggy (which I was worried about with waxed canvas). It fits well, looks good and the price was just right.

I had to search for the 4 star rating to see why there would be such a low rating. I have used this hat everywhere from the Mohave to the Sahara, from North America to South; and, especially in the middle East, including expeditions in Israel and Egypt. This is absolutely the best hat for adventure, no matter what the weather. It can be sun, rain, snow or blizzard or sand storm. This is the best hat, hands down. Period. End of story. The person that rated this hat a 4 picked the wrong size! and rated it a 4! Please...Buy this hat you will not regret it.
