The warm, 230-gram 100% high-keratin merino wool balaclava provides full-facial protection to withstand cold fall and winter days. First Lite wool fibers are the finest found in nature and produce a material that is soft, durable and can be worn directly against the skin without irritation or itch. The naturally odor-resistant wool absorbs 35% of its weight in moisture and transports moisture away from the skin, controlling odor-causing bacteria and giving you the necessary edge in scent-control management. Great balaclava for most conditions!

I've worn this mask during late deer (January) and late turkey (May) archery seasons and was never uncomfortable. First Lite's merino wool is fantastic for layering! I want to clarify that is not a heavy weight ragg wool style mask, if you wear it as a stand-alone covering in a blizzard, you will freeze. It is, however, a breathable layer that warms when its wet, retains your body heat when you're cold, and prevents you from overheating in 70 degree+ conditions. All this while absorbing your body odors. I've been nose-to-nose with does (5 feet) while wearing First Lite before and have yet to be busted!

Not worth the money

Good material but too light for anything but cool to mildly cold weather. Also the neck portion is way too short. It barely went past the collar of my coat letting cold air go down my neck and back. Disappointed.
