Trophy Ridge® Rocket Aeroheads Meat Seeker™ 3-Blade 1-1/2" Broadhead – Per 3

  • Piston-hammer technology guarantees blade deployment
  • Tip, shaft, insert and blades are heat-treated for durability
  • Three .039" thick blades
  • Lethal 1-1/2" cutting diameter
Don't make blood trailing any harder than it has to be. With the Meat Seeker, you get ultimate penetration that results in massive entry and exit wounds. These blades are deployed without levers or cams that can fail due to loss of energy. The piston-hammer technology guarantees back-to-front blade deployment every time. The rotating head finds the path of least resistance around bone for maximum penetration, tissue damage and blood loss. Heat-treated tip, shaft, insert and stainless steel blades. The three .039"-thick blades combine for a lethal 1-1/2" cutting diameter. The blades have no barbs to catch in targets, so arrow removal is easy. Closed, the .55"-flight-diameter head has field-point accuracy. Per 3.

The best broadhead yet
Date:
As I was about to place an order for more of these broadheads I decided to read a few of the reviews. I was very surprised to read how some say these broadheads didn't preform especially when many of the reviews that didn't like the broadhead killed their animal and they retrieved it. Also they stated when they retrieved their game it was only a 100 yards away or less. Yet these hunters wouldn't recommend the broadhead. In my opinion if you kill your game and it dies within a 100 yards in 1 shot, the broadhead worked well. One of the chief complaints was with the blood trials or lack thereof. May I point out that many things contribute to a good blood trail and one of the most important is the location of the entrance/exit site. You can have a great lethal shot on an animal, but if it is not low you will not have a great blood trail until the cavity has filled to that point. But since I can't judge others stories I'll just relay mine and my friends over the last 3 years with this broadhead. We use the 1-1/2 inch 3 blade and it is amazing. Every animal we have hit with it has been killed and recovered. Last year my Elk was killed at 35 yards, double lunged and heart shot. It went no more than 10 yards and dropped dead. The arrow passed straight through the elk and was still moving so fast that we never recovered it. Impressive since all three of us were standing together when I shot off a cliff down at the elk and watched where the arrow went, but after a long time we went to care for the elk and forgot the arrow. It went at least another 20 yards after exiting the elk. After that who knows. Was there blood? EVERYWHERE!!! The arrow existed low and both the enter and exit wound had blood pouring out. The elk my buddy shot the day before was also hit with a meet seeker. It was not the kill shot as it was the second arrow into the animal. My buddy put a 2nd arrow in not realizing the animal was already shot by my other friend with a new G5 T3 that he decided to try out. The G5 would have worked better had all the blades deployed, but it didn't work right. It was the first animal we tried the G5 on. It was a good thing my buddy put the second arrow in with the meet seeker. He hit him far back, but it gave us the blood trail to track. If not for that meet seeker we wouldn't of found the elk in all likely hood. The animal went almost a quarter mile. Other kills over the last few years include multiple elk and antelope. You must make certain the broadhead is properly assembled with the rubber band which is a pain and make sure you replace those rubberbands when they look old or loose their strength. Can these make noise in your quiver? I guess they could, but mine don't. I use a Tight Spot quiver and when shooting or walking around there is no noise, but I keep my rubberbands fresh. The blades are thin, but they sharpen easily and the broadhead flies like a field point. I don't usually write reviews, but with a product that has worked so well for me, I had to. Bottom line these work awesome. They kill and have always worked for us on antelope to big bull elk, and we have the bulls and bucks to prove it.

Great Mechanical Broadhead
Date:
They fly exactly like field points. I like them because the blades are all ready in the back position and they open up on contact. They are the closest thing to a cut on contact broadhead. I have had great penetration, but not in all cases a great blood trail, but always found enough to find the game. The deer I have shot haven't went very far.

Ok
Date:
Shot a doe with them this weekend got a pass through but couldnt find very much blood. We found the deer 100 yds away in a thicket. The problem I have with these broadheads is that you dont get a very big exit wound because once the tip gets through the hide there is nothing to hold the blades out so they contract back in not cutting so the exit wound is about the size of a field point. Good Luck hope this helps

Best Broadhead on the Market
Date:
Accurate, well designed, and deadly. This is by far the best broad-head I have ever used. They fly exactly like my field points and deploy without failure. Frankly, I don't even bother practicing with them any more because they hit exactly where my field points do. I'm not sure why other reviewers have had problems with these heads deploying, but the mechanical design is outstanding and I have had no problems at all with reliability. I took a buck recently with this head at 20 yards. It was a complete pass through and the arrow stuck 18 inches into the mud after it left the deer. The blood trail was fantastic and the buck went about 30 yards before collapsing. When we field dressed the animal, the devastation to the lungs was absolutely amazing. I will use these heads from now on and will happily leave my fixed blade heads in my tackle box. In my opinion, if you shoot these heads, you won't be disappointed!
