Reliable release

I have owned and used the Scott Little Goose release for years and they have preformed flawlessly under all conditions. Recently I decided to try the Scott Mongoose release because it gives me a longer grip. I can't say enough about how well the Mongoose performs. I will always use Scott releases.

Great Relase!

I had a older version of this release for about 12 years and it finally broke, just got my new one today and it is so smooth. I shot a 2inch group at 40yards. Can't wait for deer season!

This release is smooth, but after a few shots the mechanism felt loose and had some play in it. Didn't make me comfortable. Also, the trigger is extremely touchy all the way through the range of adjustment. Returned it and bought a TruFire Hurricane.

Quality Issue

When I lost my old faithful Scott Mongoose this season, There was no question of which release would be replacing it. My new Mongoose showed up and was tested and adjusted to perform similar to the old one and seemed, at first to be an adequate replacement, but after only a couple of weeks the new one started to get stiff and noisy. I am not sure what is causing these issues, but I do know that the old one went through cold, hot, sweat, rain, salt air, dirt, every adverse hunting environment that you can imagine and it never gave me anything to complain about. To say that I am disappointed is an understatement. Not with Cabelas' service, but with the product quality. Luckily I found the old one and happily back to hunting. The new one is for sale.
