The mechanical part of this release is fine. Dont think this one is any better than the $20 one I had before. The release doesn't swivel out of the way to put hand in pocket/glove. The velcro is really loud. The leather is real stiff, but I expect it to loosen up after enough use.

Best release I've ever owned

After the first practice shot with my new release I knew that the deer were in trouble. On my first hunt a nice doe came out and gave me a perfect quartering away shot and I nailed it thanks to my Scot Release. This release has definitely improved my accuracy and range. When I saw it in the Cabelas catalog I knew it was the one for me . Thanks Cabelas for carrying it.

Good solid release

Can't think of anything bad to say about this release. This is the 3rd one I've owned, and so far all have been very reliable. Like any mechanical release these do wear out after a while, I shoot pretty regularly and can get about two seasons out of one of these. Scott has changed the design a little bit for this model. The jaws are narrowed and nicely rounded which should make for a cleaner release. Also the trigger is wider on the version I have, which seems different from the picture on the Cabelas site. Wasn't sure if I'd like the change in the trigger style, but I've gotten used to it, and think it'll be nice when shooting with gloves on.

I like this release it works very well and is very comfortable at full draw. the only downside to this release is the velcro strap system. i personally would prefer if it had a buckle instead, but other than that it is a great release, no complaints. and works great without breaking the bank
