Dread the thought of having to move your ATV or snowmobile to get to something in the back of your storage shed or garage? You never will when you own these Storage Dollies. The four-piece set will support up to 1,000 pounds. Each dolly has four 2" heavy-duty ball-bearing casters, allowing you to roll bulky items - including riding lawn mowers, snow blowers and golf carts - around easily on flat surfaces. Heavy-duty steel construction is covered by a black powder-coat finish. Wheel area measures 10" x 13". Per 4.
I have owned 2 sets of these dollies for 5 years and they have worked great from day one. I use them under my 4 wheelers and have no problem moving them around on a smooth or semi-smooth concrete floors. In fact I like them so well that beings they are on sale now for $40.00 off per set I just ordered 2 more sets - 1 for my sporting clays cart and 1 to use under my 4 ft. snow blade when I take it of my tractor in the spring. One thing I do when I put my equipment on them is use a floor jack to raise the front and rear of each piece of equipment and slide the dollies under each wheel. These dollies have not faultered once in all the time that I have had them. If I hadn't had such good luck with the first 2 pair I wouldn't have ordered the second 2 pair. In my opinion these are one of the best products that I have ever bought from Cabelas and I have bought a lot of great stuff from them over the past serveral years. Cudos Cabelas and keep on bringing us the quality products that you do.
I put these together, which isn't difficult but a bit time consuming. I placed my 750 pound quad on them and went to "easily" move them around my smooth cement garage floor. It took two of us pushing and pulling to barely move it and the front end kept turning where I didn't want it to. I was quite disappointed and removed the quad only to find one of the caster wheels broke. The ball bearing were falling out and the rubber wheel separated like a flat would but these are solid, so go figure! I hope to get a new wheel.
The dollies work good though a little tedious to assemble. Getting a 4-Wheeler on and off the dollies can be difficult unless you place a 2x4 in front of each dolly as you drive on and off. This keeps the dolly from moving away from the vehicle as you try to drive foward onto the dolly.
Assembly is straight forward, but time consuming. Figure on 45 minutes or more. There are no directions for use to use for ATVs or snowmobiles. To put an ATV on the dollie it will take two men or a jack. You can't drive it onto the dollie. The wheels are fair, but should be larger to easily move an ATV around even on level concrete.
