    i was unsure about this product until i leaped in a put these to use in saltwater. It holds up very well to hard strikes and you don't lose any fish. I would recommend this product if you have expensive lures that you want to get back. You lose the hooks but keep the lure and split rings. Great product.

    I have used these unique split rings and they totally work. I use the small 6Lb rings. I noticed if I went with the large size, the hooks would get easily tangled. When I do snag I usually try the normal techniques to dislogde the lure (opposite pass, bow/arrow). If all those fall. I resort to the hook removal technique as described on the box. YOU MUST FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS AS WRITTEN. Otherwise you will risk damaging your rig. Another thing is to tie an extra strong knot and for my cranks I'll normally use a 10-15lb florocarbon. THIS WORKS. One box will save you tons of money (on saved crank baits) if used correctly. All of my cranks have these split rings and I have 2-3 extra for replacing the ring and hook if needed. This will also give you more confidence in throwing in "snaggy" places.

    This is a great product I used it in 200+ feet offshore jiging and I did not lose any jigs. I have some Cod fish jigs 16 oz. and they are expensive to get hook on the wreck. I have no problem dropping over this side now because I know I'll get them back.

    I love them I bought after loosing several old unreplaceble baits ( one of my Dads who died in 1955} much better to lose a hook than a expencive bait But I bet lure makers whish this item was never invented
