This cylindrical brass flask incorporates a spout that can be adjusted to throw charges of black powder from 5 to 30 grains. It also has a knurled screw off top for easy filling.
The flask works ... but ... patience is required. Here's the technique that delivers the most consistent charge for me.
1) Load the flash at least 1/2 full. 2) Invert the flask and rock gently to load the charging chamber. 3) Press the flask's spout into the pistol's chamber and hold it down for at least 3 seconds to load a 25 grain charge of 3F BP. 4) While depressed, gently wiggle the flask from side to side to allow all the powder to trickle down into the chamber.
There's very little I can say good about this powder flask. Well It looks good, that's about it... On the other hand it does not throw anything even close to a consistent powder charge and that's what I bought it for... Measuring powder. Maybe there's some trick that I'm not aware of, but if there is, it certainly isn't documented anywhere in the scant instructions.
