Load a powder charge quickly and effortlessly in the field with Blackhorn 209 graduated powder tubes. Their 20- to 120-unit graduations make tailoring a hunting load precise and easy. Plus, clean-burning Blackhorn 209 doesn’t require swabbing between shots, essential for a fast follow-up shot. Per 6.
I agree with the other two reviews. The scale written on the side is off by 10 grains. This has been checked by two different powder measures. I measured 100 and a hair over 90 grains is what is displayed on the Blackhorn tube. We all should be measuring our powder anyway.
Having said that, I still like them and will continue to use them. The cap stays on tight and I like the fact that the cap is orange in color. A quick glance down in my possibles bag and I know where they are. I also agree that they are quiet.
I bought 12 of these so I could pre-load all of my powder charges prior to going to the range. Saves me time at the range. I like the graduated measurements on the side of the tubes, which makes it easier to measure out the charges quickly. I will be using these for hunting as well.
I will echo one of the earlier reviews re: accuracy. I used the the T/C U-View powder measure set to 100 grains by volume and it consitantly filled the BH209 Tubes to 90.
I suppose it would not matter from a practical point of view so long as you are consistant with your powder charge / bullet combination.
The good thing is they are handy, the tops stay on securely and they are the a great value when compared to other spead-loading tubes.
