Bought two of these rather than simpler, cheaper, and, as I found out, much more reliable Marina aerators. Like several others, one of the two aerators isn't generating enough pressure to push air through the air stone, despite the fact that it's brand new and been treated well. Additionally, the light is pointless - why put a light on the thing if in order to turn it on you have to turn the pump off? It's simply a gimmick to charge more. I've never been a fan of Frabil's generally cheap products, but figured I'd take a chance with this aerator...never again will I make that mistake.
1st. time use. Bought 3 dozen small minnows, recieved about 6. fished all day. batteries lasted about 24 hours. Still had 3 dozen left. A day later without pump running only 4 died. Weather around 70 degrees, which could have helped. Very impressed
i bought the one that i could plug into the car to save on battery's it lasted a little while until it wouldn't run unless you shook the wite a little bit to get it run and even then sometimes it wouldn't i went to wv and replaced it with another onethat one didn't even last 3 days the pump would run but no air i call and talked to cabela's they were going to send me another one but i went to hamburg and they were sold out of them so i got a different brand and so far it's working. i even called frabill to tell them about the defect it's poorly maded and i'll never get another one like the other review i read and i'll say it too save your money and get another kind.this don't desever a star but you can go with out puting at least one so that's why i gave it a one star this isn't cabela's falt
Since March 15, 2010 I've purchased five Frabill Aerators (2 Protable Aerator #1423s and 3 Aqua-Life #1425 devices) to keep bluegill and tilapia alive for Flathead fishing in Blythe, Ca. However, all six devices stopped working after only one usage that lasted between 24 and 48 hours. And the exact same problem persists across all fice devices, which is that the aerator no longer pumps any air through the blue stones. This type of quality for any product is unacceptable. Finally, Frabill claims on their website in the product description that both devices are "whisper quiet". That is far from the truth. Buyer beware\u2014keep your money and stay far way from Frabill Aerators.
