"Functions exactly as it it advertised. Bright white LED for camp, and the bug feature bulbs are sufficient to cook by and proved not to attract any of the usual flying insects that can add that special seasoning to camp food!"

"I've had and used this lantern for a few weeks now and can say that it's well designed and performs flawlessly. An especially nice feature are the amber bulbs for those evenings when insects are a problem.
To the reviewer who mentioned having a problem closing the battery compartment, you need to be sure that the batteries are inserted properly. They should be inserted in an alternating fashion (+, -, +, - ) with the "springs" contacting the negative side of the battery. Also, they are no screws fastening the battery cover. Just the "insert" which makes contact with the batteries and the outside cover which screws on."

"You need to come up with some way of securring the battery compartment lid other than the screw-on outside lid, because it is very difficult to close the battery lid (waterproof cover supposedly) because it doesnt screw on or attach to anything, unless mine was lacking parts."
