"I went on my first snow goose hunt in March 2009 and used these Heavishot goose loads in 3 inch #2's with a Cabelas Heavishot choke in modified with my Browning Gold 12 gauge and had great results close in and out to 40-50 yards. Got the limit of 15. Lethal."

"At 2 3/4 inches, not enough oomph to make the heavy-shot worthwhile. I goofed when buying online (I thought this was a sale on a box of 25...) and paid much more than I wanted to for shells. These performed no better for me than plain old steel. I actually did better with plain old steel, not having hit a thing with these, and having a great goose season with cheap steel shot."

"i opened up a one of these shells and the shot was deformed so I continue to open the rest thinking it was just that one but all of them where like that, the shot size was B and it was all different sizes some as small as 7 or 8 shot and there was more buffering than shot, i do not recommend this to shoot out of your gun or buy"

"These shells, like all of the HeviShot products, are relatively expensive but the performance is excellent. If you put the pattern on the bird, the shells will perform within reasonable ranges. The HeviShot dead coyote load gives exteme long range performance.
I use HeviShot for longer, difficult shots and for larger ducks and geese. For me it is worth the cost in those lower volume shooting circumstances where steel may not even be able to reach or has a high chance of wounding. However, for high volume, early season, close range, or small birds like woodies and teal, I find that steel is adequate as there is virtually no gain from HeviShot performance wise and therefore the cost becomes too burdensome."

"Used Hevi-Shot (12 gau. 23/4in. shot #2) on a recent goose outing for lesser Canada's in Washington State. As we rose from the pit, they flaired and took off... couldn't out run the Hevi-Shot at sixty yards. Was a great day, took four home that would have got away without the Hevi-Shot. The steel brand XXXX the other guys were shooting fell short. Would not hunt without Hevi-Shot in my blind bag, it's worth the dollars and can make an okay hunt a great hunt."
