Radio Rave,August 4, 2009
By jmill3from Lebanon, IN
"The Midland Radio Pack worked perfectly on our trip out West. We could contact each other on the road and in the field when cell phones don't work. They are small enough to carry easily. Just don't forget to keep them charged! We will definitely use them on our next trip. Midland has a terrific product!"

long distance range is only over flat terrain.,June 22, 2009
By CMC98370from Washington
"I have used many walkie talkie's in the past and so far this one is the best I have seen. The 25 mile distance that the review says it covers only cover's flat terrain. Add a hill and a few trees and you loose the signal. So far it keeps it's charge even if in back pack over weekend. Make sure you charge it for 24 hours before using"

"Receives on non-FCC regulated channels only about a half mile, restricted by line-of-site obstructions. like barn, trees, etc. Can't quite get around all our acreage as a result."

midland radios,January 6, 2009
By troopfrom Western Pa
"These are a nice buy at the price listed. The radio's do not work up to 30 miles in the terrian I was using them, but much better than an older pair I had. I bought two sets, one for me and one for my buddy. One of my radios was defective, wouldn't transmit all the time. It was very frustrating. The other one's worked great. I just mailed my back to Cabelas and will await for the new ones to return. All in all not a bad buy but the 30 miles tag is untrue. Maybe on the water but not in western pa."

Good radios,November 27, 2008
By g4lcfrom Milwaukee, WI
"I bought these to replace my talkabouts that i lost. After reading the terrible reviews on pretty much every other radio out there, i decided on these. Worked great for what i used them for. The farthest i used them was maybe a mile max through thick dense woods. Sound was great and battery life was even better. The only reason they don't get 5 stars is one of the radios in the pack freaks out when the battery starts to get low, charged it back up and back to normal."
