An ideal plot for the fall and winter, this is a mixture of five unique varieties of brassicas. It includes three types of plants from the cabbage family and two kinds of turnips. Summer and early fall are the best times to plant this plot. After the first frosts arrive the plants go from tasting bitter to sweet and the deer won't be able to resist them. The plants thrive with little or no tilling, making for a low-maintenance plot. Recommended fertilizer is 19-19-19 or 15-15-15 at 300 lbs.-per-acre. Soil pH should be between 5.5-6.5 for optimal results.
