Awesome,October 15, 2009
By nhebbfrom MN
"This is my favorite camera of any I own out of the Cuddeback and Bushnell Trophy Cam. The Predator's menu and ability to operate it via the large touch screen is a huge plus. I had one that took "grainy" pictures, the boys at Preadator had me send it to them and in two days I had a brand new camera that works like a dream. Go with a Predator, you not only get the best camera made but more importantly you get the best customer service you will find anywhere on this planet, I promise you that. I will gladly spend the extra money on their products from now on. I give them 10 stars."

Disapointed,October 11, 2009
By AJo1from Madison, MS
"I liked the cameras program and ease of setup. It also is a small camera compaired to some of my cameras. I liked the IR part of the camera because you could barely see it glow. But I'm returning it because it locked up about the second week out in use. The video was not as good as I would have hoped for, they came out a little grainy. I never did set it up to take pics . Maybe I just got a bad one,but I'm going to try a Bushnell this time."

Poor Performance,October 8, 2009
By ShawnDfrom WI
"The first unit I purchased took infrared black and white pictures even during the day. About 50% of the daytime pics were black and white. Also, the touch screen stopped functioning. Returned it to Cabelas for a replacement. Once again kept taking black and white pictures during the day. The camera was setup properly and I even confirmed this with their tech support. On top of that, the image is blurry along the sides of the picture (both day and nighttime).
There are some nice things about this camera. Seems very durable. Movie mode is nice. Covert infrared goes un-noticed by deer.
Overall, not worth the money. At this price point the unit needs to be flawless, something it is not."

Xtinction,September 23, 2009
By WiElkHunterfrom Erin Wi
"I bought this camera and had a problem with it right away. I wrote Predator and they sent me one right out, the customer service is great. Im just not liking how long it takes to review the pictures on the touch screen. It has a port for down loading the pictures to a thumb drive but again it takes so long, you can just swap out the CF card instead. It takes 12 AA's that last less than a month, my charger only takes ten, so there is an extra day wasted to charge the extra two. The picture quality during the day is not that good, it seems a bit grainy for being 3.2 MP. The night pictures though seem good and has very good range. The touch screen makes setup very simple. If they could speed up the picture access and make the day pictures clearer than I could see them getting the price they do but I just wrote a review on the bushnell that is $300 less and was way more impressed."

Great camera,April 24, 2009
By dewbagefrom Minnesota
"I have two of these cameras. One in my back yard and another in the woods. The 12 volt option is awesome. The battery seems to work forever. I use the video feature because I like to see what the animal is doing after it gets its picture taken. The infrared night vision is nearly invisible so it would work great as a survellience camera. I had a police officer go thru my back yard one night looking for a bad guy and got him on video and he never knew it. You never know whats going on when your not around. Set up is very easy and I love these cameras!!!!!"

"I purchased this camera about 4 months ago and it has been operation for only about 3 weeks. I think i just got a bad camera because i have a buddy who has one and it works great. The camera took great pics it just wouldnt work. I will say that the customer service at Predator has been great. I should be getting a brand new camera back from them in the next couple of days and hopefully it will preform how it is suppose to. I didn't pay 400 something dollars for a big paper wieght and thats all it has been usefull for so far."

Very Nice Camera,December 16, 2008
By FlatlandDeerhunterfrom Ocala, Fl.
"I am very impressed with the Predator Extinction. It takes great pictures day or night. I'm surprised by the effective range of the camera, its further than advertised. I really like what they have done with having the true infrared flash at night. With my other cams you can tell the deer notice it at night and they know its there for sure. With the extinction they notice it some but not nearly as much, overall they really dont seem to notice it.
So far the battery life has been ok but I have it set on a short trigger time and the camera is taking about 250 pics in a week so I think I'm taxing the battery pack pretty heavey.
I also like how slim the camera is. It doesnt have a big bulky profile for deer to notice.
The touch Screen is prolly the best attribute of the camera set up is easy and very intuitive.
I would have given this cam 5 stars but I feel they could improve on the battery life some, it would be nice to have moon phase and temp on the pics too.
With all of this said it really is the best camera I have owned to date hands down!"

Predator Extinction,November 6, 2008
By Anonymousfrom Hartford, WI
"I will recommend this trailcam to everyone I know. It is so easy to set up and very easy to understand when using the menu. The picture quality is awesome and the video works great day or night. I also love the fact that one can setup his or her very own 4-digit security code which will lock out any peering eyes and deter would be theives for they can not use the trail cam without entering the correct security code. I love this cam and wish I had bought one sooner. Keep up the good work Predator and Thankyou!!"

PREDATOR XTINCTION,September 26, 2008
By Anonymousfrom MN
"The Predator Xtinction is so easy to setup and to use compared to other trail cameras I own. The picture quality is good and the mounting versatility is amazing. If you like to move camera locations quickly and easily, extra mounting brackets allow you to leave them prealligned at your hot spots. The engineers were thinking when they designed unit."

Predator Xtinction,September 10, 2008
By Jeff62from Carol Stream, IL.
"I did extensive research before I purchased this trail cam. I purchased the Xtinction because it had some of the best specs in the market. The big question was, could it live up to those specs? After using a competitors trail cam I realized the two most important features to get quality pictures or video in the woods were trigger speed and night vision performance. All other features were secondary. My other trail cam would have about 50% of the pictures it took empty (due to trigger speed), and if it did catch a deer at night, you can tell that the deer was initially spooked by the red glowing LEDs. I was amazed to see that every single picture with my Xtinction had an animal in it. Also, the night vision technology is incredible! Not one animal; deer, raccoon, coyote, or trespasser knew the Xtinction was filming them, it is true night vision (no bright red glowing LEDs)! The user interface (touch pad) is easy to learn and use. Also, it is nice to have a screen to quickly preview your pictures or to line up the camera during set up. As for battery life, I am on my third week and the batteries are still strong. What is nice is that the battery voltage is displayed on the top corner of the screen so that you know when you need to change the batteries. As of now, the Xtinction gets an A+."

"Simple to use. The touch screen is easy to navigate. Pictures and video are awesome. The trigger speed is unlike any other camera I've seen on the market- By far the fastest. The only down fall to this camera I can say is the price."

Filter sticks,September 9, 2008
By 22caliberfrom Wisconsin
"The camera is well built, however I returned it. The second time it was used in the woods the filter stuck causing the pictures to be two thirds obscured with one third of the frame visible. The service department said the cause was probably a result of movement while the cameera was being carried . They said cycling the unit before use should correct the problem. I just did not want to take the chance with that much of an investment."

Predator Xtinction Camera`,September 8, 2008
By Schrofrom Clintonville, WI
"Had some difficulty getting started with the Predator camera. First I had to figure how to get the camera open. The company had the instructions inside the camera and when I finally figured it out, the first instruction in the manual is how to open the camera. The first time I had it out I didn't get one picture and was initially disapointed. Once I had it figured out it was what I expected. Am somewhat disapointed with the infra-red shots. Some pictures are so dark you can not make out what kind of deer is on the picture. Otherwise the trigger speed is great. Day pictures are good. The mounting system is very good."

This is a FANTASTIC trail cam,September 4, 2008
By invst4ufrom Peoria, AZ
"I have owned another IR trail cam. It was expensive also. This trail cam out preforms the CB IR by a mile. The video is great, IR is great, and mounting is FANTASTIC with the optional swivel mounting plate. The only drawback is the price. In this case, it is comparable to CB IR but much better. The 3.5" screen is great for viewing and the touch screen is awesome. It is very user friendly.. I highly suggest the swivel mount and python lock. Not everyone in the woods is as ethical as we would like. I live by the moto, "Take my cam, it may cost your life". :-)"

Predator Xtinction Game Camera,June 20, 2008
By TXSoonerfrom Arlington, TX
"I have already told several people about this product. I am extremely pleased with this camera. After trying an inexpensive camera and being extremely dissatisfied, this camera is everything I have been looking for. It has an exremely fast shutter speed and the battery life is excellent with good picture quality. I found the touch screen technology to be very user friendly. It has all the bells and whistles, but not complicated. I purchased 2 extra mounting brackets which allows me to move the camera to other locations by simply removing the pin on the mount. Also, I have called customer service a couple of times and found them very knowledgeable and helpful."
