"Bought the Cuddyback Capture because I was unhappy with a couple of cheaper Wildview cameras; but I didn't throw the other cameras away -- put them out with the Cuddyback for comparison. End result -- in a week, the Wildview cameras took 375 pictures... but only TWELVE of them had anything on them - a lone deer who showed up on several nights, and once a couple of coyotes. Some night pictures barely showed the deer, detection range was obviously greater than the flash range; but a lot of the empty pictures were in the daytime.
By comparison, the Cuddyback took only 84 pictures -- but NONE OF THEM WERE EMPTY -- NOT ONE. Most showed deer, a couple showed coyotes, and a half-dozen showed turkeys that had wandered by. One shot showed a crow coming in for a landing -- camera actually caught him in flight. One daytime photo had seven deer in the same picture!!! All of the shots were sharp and clear, and the night time shots (standard flash, not the I/R model) clearly illuminated the deer.
The Cuddyback performed where the Wildview cams did not. I've got another Cuddyback on my wish list... just waiting for payday to come around so I can order it."

"In the past I have used several cameras from other manufacturers. The Cuddeback is hands down the best. No more empty pictures, it is so fast it even captures deer running in front of the camera. It's that fast. Picture quality is excellent, and i am still using the original batteries ( 2-1/2 months in fall in upstate NY, approx 200 pics). The only complaint I have is that there is no battery life indicator. In the future I will only be buying Cuddebacks."

"Being new to the usage of trail cameras, I decided to do some scouting on different brands myself. I came to the conclusion of trying the Cuddeback 3.0 Capture. What sold me on this camera was the ease of use and affordable too. After getting the camera setup according to instructions. I decided to pull the card and see what I had. After 2 days, the camera had 15 pics. I tried using my digital "point and shoot" camera to view the card, but it couldn't read the file format. So I decided to take card home and see them on the PC. WOW!! I was impressed by the clarity and color of the pics. Very nice!! I'm a happy man with this Cuddeback camera. LOVE IT and would recommend the Cuddeback Capture 3.0 to anyone!"

"Ive had the cuddeback capture out for 5 weeks now. put out first of october, works great. if you read the instuctions (i dont sometimes) you should have no problems. weather has been mild so far. batteries still strong. takes great pics. out of around 75 pics, i only had 2 that i couldnt find game in. ive had turkey, coon, squirrel and deer pose for me. makes my deer hunting a little more exciting seeing the nice bucks that roam my woods at nite. now i want another one. I bought the bearsafe and its a good thing. it keeps the honest people from taking your camera. use your battery drill to shoot the lags in."

"So far so good . This is my first cuddeback camera and I am very impressed with its performance so far. The fist time out it captured a small armadillo that wondered by no camera has done that before and some very nice bucks and Doe’s . "I tried the Stealth Cam and the Wildview cameras with very poor results. A friend recommended the Cuddeback, and even though I didn't want to spend a couple hundred bucks, I went ahead and bought the Cuddeback Capture 3.0. WOW! The results are amazing! It is by far the easiest to use compared to the other two and the pictures are better than I ever imagined. I started using it the last week of August and in the last six weeks have pictures of some great looking bucks. Highly recommended."

"a freind of the family recommend the cuddyback to me. i ordered one for me, and my brother ordered three for him. when i set my camera out for a week i in the mornings it would be fogged over so all i could see was the outline of the animal. i wasnt happy because i had a moultree camera not 2 miles away and never had a problem. i called cuddyback, they told me they didnt know why and to try some anti fog. i wasnt pleased because i had a cheaper camera that i didnt have to worry about that worked better. i will give it that every pic had something in it but i sure couldnt see if it was a buck or a doe"

"I bought this camera about 12 months ago. It has logged in approx. 4 months in the field. This camera leaks very badly.The camera will collect water inside and shut down. What good is fast trigger speed when you can't put it in the woods. I found out that it is water resistant not water proof."

"I selected Capture 3 after reading nearly all the reviews for trail camers. Easy to use with my PC and the pictures are better than I expected. After 3 weeks use I agree with nearly all the comments in the 5 star reviews. I now have nice pictures of squirrels, raccoons, foxes, does, fawns, and a nice buck in my back yard. "I am from wisconsin. It takes 7 years to get a bear kill permit. This is my fourth trail camera in the last month. The first, a different brand, had a infra-red light and not a flash. The pictures of subjects it took at night looked like they were struck by lightening. If I didn't know they were my grandkids I would have started to believe in ghosts. I than got a Cuddeback Capture. The first one worked for about two days and then wouldn't reset after counting down from 30 seconds. I sent it back to Cabela's and they sent me a new one which seemed to work just fine. I took it with me and set it directly across from my bear bait. Nothing in the way and approx. 12 feet from the bait pile. The camera took great pictures of bears at night. However I noticed my bait was getting hit during the day but no bears were being recorded. One day I was in my stand with two hours of shooting time left and had a bear in my bait pile for 15 minutes and never got one picture. Yet when I waould go to disable the camera it would take pictures of me. The last straw was when I finally shot my bear the next day and it was standing in the bait directly across from the camera and it never took a picture. It did take one of me when I went up to the animal. The bear weighed 350lbs. I don't. I called Cuddeback and was asked about the heat of the day, what batteries I was using, if the sun was shinning, and then was told the camera has problen picking up black bears because of their color. I guess the solution to the problem is don't hunt bears that are black. Unreal, thank god for Cabela's. I recontacted them and Cabela's sent me another camera. I will be using the new camera during the bow and gun season, maybe this one will work the way it's suppose to. If it works correctly I would recommend it to a friend. I might have had two bad cameras, but I'll try again. I just hope I don't have to deal with Cuddeback again.

I have tried a few other brands. This one is the best. Very fast trigger & clear pictures. Easy to set up and use. I didn't even have to ask the kids for help! I had to format the SD card which was no big deal. I was suprised when I went to check on it today. A bear ripped it off the strap and damaged the unit. I got pictures of the culprit and hope that we cross paths in a few months."

"I waited ten years for a class a bear permit for zone b. I already own three no flash cameras. I wanted one more for running the fourth bait, so I bought the capture 1125. It didn't work out of the box. I find that very poor workmanship. You would think they would make sure it works before selling it in the store. I'm fortunate enough I don't live far from the factory so I got it back in five days. Before I did anything, I reformatted the two sd cards I had. Hung the camera over the bait, the first card I had about six pics and then a bunch of multi-colored screens. I tried the other card and it did the same thing. I had a friend stop and buy another card on his way up north. This card never even got a picture of a bear, it went directly into freak out mode. The bait was also hit so it should've gotten a picture of something. In the mean time one of my no flashes quit working. It wouldn't take pictures, when the bait was getting hit. Talk about frustrating. I talked to a customer service rep. and they said it would be a flat rate to fix the no flash. You think they would fix it and charge you the correct amount. The flat rate isn't cheap either for those wondering. Add another hundred and you could get another capture that might or might not work. I would never buy another cuddeback product again, or allow any family or friends to purchase one."

"I own many cuddyback captures. All work great except one. Brand new out of box it did not work, sent it in, it worked for 2 weeks after being fixed and now doesn't work again. Cuddebacks policy is no cameras can be returned to stores, so I have been trying to contact them for 5 days now, left numerous messages and NO RESPONCE AT ALL!!! Here I still sit today that camera does not work and STILL trying to get a hold of cuddeback!!! They need to learn how to back their product!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"I have three of these cameras, two are working great. One is having an issue, and the warranty/service is not good. I can not get anyone on the phone or an email address to get any information.
