"As a gift for my recently "tagged" spousal unit, I purchased the 10 rod/3 drawer rack and utility boxes to 'organize' his (read my) living space.
His comment, "It works for me." It is more compact than I thought which is a plus because the attempt to combine two households has been a challenge. Lizardman's current muse is the elusive salmon on the Columbia River. He is very excited to have six boxes that can be specialized to salmon, bass, trout, or walleye...have flies tied...ect. Of course with the money he saved by my purchase, he had to go out to Bi-Mart and include a 9 foot pole to his collection. There are two rod holders left free at this time (not counting the four (4) rods in the GMC pick up)...I'm sure that future purchases to fill the slots are mandatory.
This awesome piece of functional furniture has pleased both of us. Cabela's has put a smile on the face of both the fisherman and his wife."

"This 10-Rod/3-Drawer Rack with Utility Storage looks great, is very practical, and would be a nice addition to any cabin or home if it were made from quality materials. The rack came broken in not one, but three places. Besides being obviously made from very cheap materials, this rack has a bit of a hard time storing 10-poles, and the drawers should be set on rollers instead of just being stuck into the unit. I am very disappointed, and I should have listened to the other reviews that warned of cheap craftsmanship. I will be returning this unit."

"It was very simple too assemble, only took about 15 minuets and that includes the fact that I had to add glue to the back as some corners were coming apart. Also the bottom trim in front came off and had to glue that piece also. It looks great and is a great add to me arsenal. The only thing this rack will not hold my large salt water rods as they are to big around to fit into the rubber holders or the grips get into the way"

"This is perhaps the best rod rack/storage unit I've had. The rod storage system I've owned! Rods can be stored with the reels and the soft rubber clips hold them securely.
The drawers are lined and roomy for extra reels, line, lures or whatever. The neatest thing about this unit is the storage of up to six 3700 sized boxes in the built-in racks. More can fit on top between the rods.
Great rack, great quality."

"I purchased this cabinet as a birthday gift for my husband. I have bought him many gifts from Cabelas, and we've been generally happy with the products. In this case, I had expected a quality item for over $100. The item arrived damaged. There were pieces that had literally broken off the unit in shipment. This item is that flimsy. My husband, feeling bad that his birthday gift was essentially garbage, went to the trouble of trying to repair the item. After about an hour with some wood glue and additional screws that should have been part of the original construction, but weren't, the cabinet is now functional. However, you can see how cheap of a product it is just by looking at it. The laminate is peeling up at the corners, and it just looks shoddy (sp.?). I would absolutely caution anyone against purchasing this item."

"My mistake, this unit is strictly for storing only light freshwater gear. The racks will not accomodate rods more than 1/2-inch diameter. Assembly of the storage rack is straight forward. Unfortunately, the pre-drilled holes for the base and feet assembly came mis-aligned :( Compared to the trouble of returning the unit, I beleived the situation was salvageable. After drilling new holes for the base, I carefully repositioned the feet to a wider stance; this to remedy the unit's severe tipping problem. Thank goodness the 3700-size utility boxes came in the carton! If limited to storing light freshwater gear, the unit should do well, provided the foot modification indicated."

"I was disappointed by the quality of this storage unit. The drawers have no guides at all and are made of very lightweight wood cheaply nailed together with finishing nails. I returned this product as I knew it would be discarded in less than a year or two. This was my biggest disappointment with a Cabelas product.... I would look elsewhere."

"This little rod rack, 3-drawer, 6 tacklebox unit was perfect for addition in the family room. Old rods and gear were just scattered about collecting, as I added more to my bass arsenal, and the wife was getting a bit peeved.
I showed her this on your site, ordered it, and it came just about fully assembled and in great shape. My 4 year old helped put the top and bottom on with the screws provided, and even capped off the open holes with the little "mushrooms", as she called them.
We had used the Plano 2-3750's in the slots to hold tackle, and tons of plastics, crankbaits, various line boxes, etc...and seeing that I had more rod space available, I picked up yet another Abu Garcia Black Max rod/reel combo to store on it too.
It looks great, the drawers open easy, holds plenty of stuff and then some, is stable, and works perfectly for cleaning up the clutter.

"I bought this item for my fiance's birthday and he loves it. This is a quality piece and looks very nice with our other wooden furniture in the room. The extra tackle boxes that you can purchase are worth the extra price as they finish off the piece nicely. My fiance moved all of his tackle into the boxes and stored extra line, etc. in the lined drawers. Very nice item and best of all, it comes mostly assembled. There is very little to do once it arrives other than fill it up."

"I purchased the 10 rod 3-drawer rack for my son as a gift. When it arrived I went to remove it from the box and one of the drawers completely fell apart. I was very disappointed, because with the Cabela's name on it I was expecting a much better quality product than what I received. I gave it 2 star rating only because when I called to tell them about it falling apart, the customer service person was very helpful and I did receive another 10 rod rack in time to give it as a gift."
