No Grip Available to fit this Reel Seat,April 20, 2009

"This is a gorgeously made reel seat from American Tackle, but it it designed to be a recessed hood seat. Cabela's does not carry a cork grip that has a recessed cutout that fits this particular seat. I had to order the grip from another company to complete the rod. The outside diameter of the reel seat is .864" - which means you need a grip with a recessed opening that is .865". Cabela's has none.
I gave the reel seat 2 stars because I had to go elsewhere to get a matching grip, not for the construction of the seat itself."
