Serious anglers demand serious tools, and that's doubly true when tournament money is on the line. These digital fish scales from Berkley are engineered to be very strong, highly ergonomic and extremely efficient because they display the weight of the fish on both sides so that the angler and a team member can see it at the same time. They are built with advanced materials and technology including a nonslip Softtorx™ finish. Accurate to within 1/10 of one percent, the scales hold fish weights in memory that keeps track of the total weight of the catch, along with the weight of each fish kept so anglers know which fish is next to be culled. Each scale comes with a soft-sided weatherproof case and is powered by three AAA batteries. An Auto-Off feature helps prolong battery life. There are two scales to choose from. One weighs fish up to 35 lbs. and the other weighs fish up to 100 lbs.

Berkely Fish Scale,January 18, 2010
By griffondorfrom Sacramento, Ca
"The worst scale I have ever used. After one season it is useless. No screen read out, changed the batteries and still nothng. It never got wet and was always stored in box. Manual was much more accurate when the digital worked anyway. Save your money. Nice idea, bad implementation."

Great Idea - Poor Craftsmanship!,July 20, 2009
By JWS647from Hartland, MI
"Bought this set 3 weeks ago, used for tournament #1: Thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread until official weigh-in... The unit said we had 17 LBS 5 OZ after my partner and I culled down to 5, we actually had 18 LBS 13 OZ! OK not going to complain for OBVIOUS reasons :-) Tournament # 2: The unit is now 6 days old, after 5 hours of fishing the scale froze and I had to remove the batteries then START OVER... It only took about 5 minutes but in my eyes thats about 20 casts ;-) Again at weigh in it was off, but only by about 1 LB (this time OVER). Tournament #3: Smallmouths on Lake St. Clair are quite active (even in the livewell) 3 of our 8 clips came off and 1 actually broke-off, again having to re-weigh and re-tag... Just before our 8 hours was up we had 3 fish within 2 ounces of each other and decided to re-weigh before throwing the two smaller bass back. The second time weighing we had about a 9 oz spread between the 3 fish, I know a lot of things can play a factor in weighing fish but still! THEN last but not least this morning I decided to put it to the test :) Went out for a practice day on a local lake and caught my first fish a 4 LB 5 OZ Smallie (so I thought) weighed it again with my other scale which has proven to be quite accurate in past tournaments and it was only a 3 LBS 13 OZ Bass :-/ reweighed with the Berkley again and HMM this time it was 4 LBS 1 OZ The next time it was 4 LBS 6 OZ Second time on my old scale 3 LBS 13 OZ! When culling 5 fish if its off by over 3 oz each fish you could potentially throw back almost a pound of fish! To make my long story even longer LOL im taking it back tonight :-) But again GREAT idea POOR quality! Hope this helps!"

Not for cold weather use,April 14, 2008
By cmwiowafrom southeast IA
"I just purchased this scale and tried to use it last weekend in 40 degree temperatures. When the scale got cold it would not turn on. I tested this theory to make sure once we got home to verify it was not the batteries. Turned on in the house but took it outside for an hour an it would not respond at all. I emailed Berkley to see what they have to say about this."
