"I recently purchased the reconyx rm45.... and it is by far the best camera i have ever owned or used. I have used stealth cams, wilview cams, moultries, and cuddebacks. I set the camera up on the same tree i had my moultrie I-40 on for the last 3 weeks (only getting about 60 pics with none having deer in them mostly limbs or grass blowing on the moultrie I-40) and got over 600 pics in one week on the reconyx with no blank pics. I had pics or numerous does, several pics of a fox, and numerous pics of a very large buck that i have not seen on any of my other cams. The trigger speed on this camera is extremely fast."

"We bought this camera in July 2008 after several disappointments with other brands of game cameras. The Reconyx RM45 has lived up to all of its hype of fast shutter speed, long battery life, ease of use and quality pics. Our main concern when putting out the money was how long the camera would function and the quality of customer service if we did have problems. By the end of our Jan. 31st hunting season the camera began to malfunction. After trying several fixes suggested by the Reconyx website we called Reconyx and talked to Justin in their customer service dept. After getting an RA# we sent the camera back and it was returned in about 12 days. The camera worked for about an hour before it began having problems. I called Reconyx and talked to Justin again telling him about the problem we were having. Without hesitation, Justin said he was sending us a new replacement with a return label for our camera. The replacement arrived 4 days later and is back in the woods. We couldn't ask for better service and truly didn't expect it. Hopefully the new camera will last awhile before it needs service. Reconyx has gained 2 more loyal customers and we plan to buy at least 1 more camera this year."

"This camera has everything you would expect in a solid trail camera. The camera has awesome trigger speed. I am talking 2 pictures a second at times. Battery life is good. Comes with downloadable software for your computer to store an organize photos.
I have only one dislike an thats the camera does not work real good with shadows in the day time. The night photos are excellent. I rated this camera a 4 out of 5. But it is a 4.7 camera to me. Worth every penny!"

"This being my second trail camera I am very pleased with it, easy to set up and doesn't miss a thing. "This was my first purchase of a trailcam so I did a lot of research and read all the reviews online. I also checked any independent reviews I could find and the reconyx cameras were rated head and shoulders above all other cameras. I have had the camera about a month now and it has far exceeded my expectations. This camera doesnt miss a thing! The trigger speed is unbelievable and the nighttime pictures are very good. I have it set up in the back woods and I was concerned about the deer there being spooked by the IR. 90 % of my pictures are at night and not one deer has ever reacted to the IR. This camera is pricey but the old addage of "you get what you pay for" really does apply here. Battery life has been a pleasant surprise also. After 1 month and a couple hundred pitures my batteries are still at 84%. I would highly reccomend this camera to anyone."

"I have two other cameras, cheaper ones that start with an "M," and I wasted a lot of money by not buying this Reconyx to begin with. The other two cameras have been dismally disappointing.
The battery life on the Reconyx is phenomenal, as another viewer has commented, and I've gotten great pics both day and night.
The dark blue print in the setup mode is very easy to see and the menu is user friendly.
Okay, so the pictures are in B & W, who cares? All I want is to get a good idea of the deer and to know they're not getting by the camera.
As soon as I save my pennies I'll buy another one or two. Wish Cabela's took trade-ins...I'd swap my other two for one of these.

The reason we tried them is because we own several other scouting cameras by 2 of the largest sellers here at Cabelas. We were never really satisfied with the trigger time or the pictures. Trust me, there is no comparison...none. This model which is black and white pictures triggers immediately and rapid-fires shots that are cyrstal clear. You just have to try one to understand what i am telling you. Get the metal protective housing box also. That makes it virtually tamper-proof. Buy one and see what you have been missing!"

"I bought a cheaper digital camera last year and it was slow and I missed a lot of deer. I put this camera out last week in the woods and it is fantastic!! It takes very fast pictures and will not miss deer or any other animal for that matter. It isn't color but the picture quality is pretty good anyhow. It is fairly expensive but it is worth the money. Don't waste your money on cheap digital cameras. Spend the money and you will be happy."

"To be honest, I have never had another trap camera before but this unit exceeds my expectations. Very crisp daylight shots with a good compromise of shutter speed, lens angle and depth of field. The camera does not handle high contrast shots well so avoid leaf dappled shots or other pictures where deep shadow and bright light mingle.
The night shots are very good. The camera does not wake up quickly enough to catch a passing car, but for the average animal that isn't on the run it is perfectly adequate.
Quiet, fast, easy to use, great photos - what more could you ask for?"

The game cam that actually gets the pics I need.,September 16, 2007

"I have had two cheap game cams in the past, one 35mm and one cheap digital. Both got some pics but oftern came back with blank shots or spooked game with their noise and flash.
I knew I needed a new camera and I wanted a couple things, it had to be fast, it can't spook game , and lastly it can't eat batteries.
I have had my old digital cam out for a month now with 0 pictures of deer. I put the Reconyx out and in less then 24 hours I had 20 pics of two different deer!
This cam takes 6 C batteries which should last 4-8 weeks from what I have read. I have not had to change them yet and the battery meter reads 99% battery life so far after 1 week.
If I had to some this camera up I would call it ridiculously fast! This thing has no sleep time and shoots two pics in 1 second! It makes a Cuddeback and Bushneel look like a joke. You set it up to take bursts of shots. I have mine set up for 3 shot bursts but you can set it up to 10 which gives video like replay.
The camera is made for the Python cable lock making it a breeze to secure.
The only negatives I can think of are the sacrifice of picture quality and color. Pics are still great but not the best. It also comes with a CF card and not SD. My laptop can read SD cards directly but I had to buy a CF card reader. Reconyx should switch to SD as CF cards are dying out.
Also the IF pics in thick dark woods without much moon light are darker then I would like.
If you want lots of pics fast so you know what is out there and when get this camera."
