"I bought two of these jackets one for my 3 year old and and one for my 6 year old along with the down vests in the catalog. Unfortunately, the vests run small and the jackets run a little big (esp. in the sleeve length) so I had to reorder. The jackets are robust and certainly are wind proof and insulating. I would say small kids could wear the jacket over just a t-shirt w/ a stocking cap in 35 - 40 degree weather with moderate winds without getting cold if they are walking or playing. I use the jackets as their insulating layer under a shell in much colder weather and it works great. The only issue I have had is that sometimes the zipper gets caught on some material about 2/3 of the way up."

"I did not pick the correct size for my son. When we got it was about 3 sizes too big. This is my fault as he is on the border between a toddler sizes and young sizes, so I did not know what to get. It was fantastic quality. It was like a neoprine/wetsuit inside (very warm) and had a soft handsom looking outer layer. Very sharp and sturdy. Had it been just 1 size bigger I would have kept until next season, but since it was so big I returned the item. I would recommend this if you are looking for a solid jacket that looks great."

"Because my son is a growing kid, I ordered a size larger than normal. Maybe not such a good idea. The Large probably would have worked for a couple of years. The Extra Large is quite roomy, and the sleeves are really long. But my son really likes the jacket and, believe it or not, likes the long sleeves. He says he can't feel the wind and cold while wearing it, which is why I bought it in the first place. Overall, a great jacket!"

"We exchanged the jacket mainly because of the size being wrong---my fault not yours. But the zipper was not wanting to work on the jacket. We liked it so much that we are more than willing to try again."
