Beeman 1090,January 10, 2010
By dave98446from Washington
"The quality of this rifle is good. It shoots accurately and is very powerful. The ease of 177 caliber to 22 caliber allows 177 for target and messing around , while a change of the barrell allows for hunting of small game. The price is right and the caliber conversion is easliy done in the field or at home. the rifle is very carefree and is made of nice hardwoods. Like most beeman it takes the airgun feel of a daisy or crosman and gives the shooter the feel of a real rifle, through weight and balance. The price is also right. All in all I would not steer anyone away from this rifle it is a great gun for an airgun."

Good Buy,July 21, 2009
By ThompsonM1
"I bought the Beeman RS3 1090 Combo Rifle as a 1st time Break Barrel Purchase. I grew up with Crosman's and Benjamin Pellet Rifles. I always read of the consistancy of Break-Barrel Airguns. I wanted to spend under $300.00 for my first. I looked at RWS and the Remington Summit but I could'nt decide on Caliber. This rifle is accurate with the right pellets only. It likes RWS Superdomes and JSP Predators so far. Gamo and Crosman are not worth putting in the rifle. With Predators in .22 caliber at 25 yards every once in a while it will go in the same hole. .177 is even more consistant. The .177 shoots definitely flatter and will go thru a Gatorade bottle at 45 Yards. .22 has more knockdown but drops sooner. A Mil-Dot Scope would be benificial. It will Kill a Crow at 25-30 Yards with .177. .22 is better at 40-50yards maximum. Birds eating in your fruit trees are toast up to 50 yards away. At 45 yards with .22 caliber predator pellets it went all the way thru a squirrel. My 15 and 18 year olds are both addicted to shooting this rifle. It is harder to shoot accurately than a .22 Rimfire but once you master it it is great practice you can do in your yard. I now want either a Beeman R1 or HW97. I now shoot this rifle at least 3 times a week and my kids just as often. It is nice having a consistant accurate powerful pellet rifle."

Good rifle poor service,February 20, 2008
By clockdoc
"I bought this rifle through the web site. I was pleased with the gun when it arrived, balance was good as was the weight. I was a little disapointed that the straps in the case were cut with a razor prior to shipping but over looked it. The first round I fired made a loud crack and had pretty good recoil. It acted and sounded like a .22 cal. All that packing grease I guess. I recomend shooting the rifle without the scope on it first. I mounted the scope prior to firing the first round and a lens broke. I sent the scope back for replacement a month ago and as of yet have not gotten one back or heard from them about it. So, from where I sit I own a two hundred dollar air gun with one round through it and now no means of hitting what I aim at even if I wanted to fire it! I would recomend buying this gun just from someone else!"

Great Value Great Gun Great Flexibility,July 20, 2007
By Manther
"At first scope mount, I had to site it at about 25 feet to get started. Once close, I signed at 30 yards with 3 shots. With a rest I put 3 shots in one overlapping hole with the .177 barrel. Great accuracy and VERY repeatable. High quality scope! Switching to the .22 barrel I had to resight the scope. That is the ONLY disappointment. I kept track of my clicks and can now adjust the scope back and forth for the two barrels. .22 isn't as accurate, but I am using junk pellets - crossman was the only pellet I could find local in .22. Accuracy at 30 yards with .22 is about a 1 1/2 - 2" group. I will find some quality Beeman ammo and expect the accuracy to improve. Barrel switching is a breeze! One allen wrench screw. Pull one barrel out, put the 2nd barrel in. Replace the screw. adjust the scope. done. Comes with a nice carry case that hold everything with both barrels (off the main gun). Highly recommended. Excellent value!"
