Moultrie Trail Camera,

"Just picked up my first round of pictures off the memory cards. This was my first time using trail camera's and I was very impressed on the ease of use and the pictures that the camera produced. The pictures were very good whether day or night. I would highly recommend this camera to any body even if it is your first one. Only thing I would recommend is bringing better bungee cords due to the weight of the camera's."

"This camera was a great disappointment to me. I use 4 other cameras (one of them a Moultrie) and they return good results. I use them all year so I am familiar with what they do and do not do. This camera was good for scenery only because the animals it was suppose to photograph was probably in the next county when the photo was made. I did get a photo of the behind of one deer but could not tell what gender it was. I don't read behinds too well. I did however manage to identify one animal was a hog by his behind. Picture quality is poor also. Have ordered a new and different brand of camera from Cabelas who has graciouly agreed to credit me for this one I am sending back."

"Not a bad cam, for the price expected a little better. Back yard test went bad with me walking in front of it major blur with slow trigger. but After setting it up in woods anyway, pictures came out CLEAR and great. was very impressed. Digital is just to slow. My old film cam never blurred."

"Bought this camera online in Nov of 08. I waited until April 09 to set up and it worked great until TODAY, 05/26/09. I went to check the memory on the card, which I do daily and I found that the camera wasn't working at all, in any setting besides the laser aim position. I thought it was odd because I just changed the batteries a day earlier. I took the unit back to the house, changed the batteries again and it still would not work except when in the laser aim position. I attempted to call Moultrie at both the 800 number and the 205 number but after it tells you to push the number required to speak with a human, i got disconnected. I attempted this numerous times only to get the same results. I then called Cabela's, and asked for their help and was told that there warranty is expired and I would have to call Moultrie. I then explained the issues with Moultrie's phone service and they told me they would help me out if I brought it into the store. I was told I could either exchange it for another or they would credit the Moultrie towards another brand camera. Customer service with Cabelas was awesome, they make sure they do whatever they can to satisfy their customers. I will be buying something different than a Moultrie this time though."

"It is a very good camera. THe bungee cords that come with it aren't very good, but the camera is awesome. I have gotten come good pictures including a moose!"

"I live in rural Montana and have recently repaired a barn on about 100 acres. The property borders a river on one side and I suspected the barn cats had lots of company at night. I set up the Moultrie 5.0 camera in a old tack room where we had been providing food nightly for the cats. It was easy to set up and program. I was concerned that with the overnight temeratures in the teens that the "D" cell batteries would not perorm well. To my surprise after 2 nights and about 30 pictures I could clearly view the racoons, field mice and barn cats all enjoying their fill. The pictures were all in color and very clear with the exception of too much flash in a white room. Got the camera back at home now while loading a 2gb-SDcard to set up for longer picture taking. Will move near the creek as temperatures warm as I suspect there will be some deer and bear coming down the water."

"My hunting buddy has the 4.0 and I have recently purchased the 5.0. The only difference I can see is you can zoom in closer to see a "little" better detail with the 5.0. I got this one from Cabela's on sale for the same money as the 4.0, if it had not been on sale I would have purchased the 4.0. They are both great cameras."

"I bought this product over the holidays and it works great. Especially for the price, should of gotten the one with viewer. Flash didn't spook the animals, especially the javelinas. Beautiful pictures and very sensatived to movement. Field mice eating on corn. Kids love the pictures."

"I received this game cam as a Christmas gift. It was very easy to program. I have seen some trail camera's that you had to be a rocket scientist to program correctly. This camera was very very simple to program and set up. It takes great pictures. It has an sd slot and I bought two 1gb sd cards and swap them out when I check my camera. I also have a digital camera that I take hunting with me, that uses an sd card, so I can just pop it in and look at my pictures on my digital camera while I'm in the woods without have to buy a card reader. This camera does everything you need in a game camera. I've only had it a month, but have not found any flaws with it at this time."

"This camera works well, has some great features, and takes great pictures. The only slight issue which kept it from being a 5 out of 5 rating is that it is apparently too sensitive to wind, since I had a lot of pictures of "nothing." Since this is the first camera I've used, I don't know if this is a common problem. But, the the pictures of deer, coyote, etc. were all good, so that outweighs any minor issue I have. Overall, great product."

"I have had one of these caneras for 8 months and was so pleased with it I just bought 2 more to place on different food plots. The pictures are as clear as can be. The only draw back with the unit is the batteries. I am going to try some rechargable ones and see how that works."

"I ordered this game camera for my son for Christmas. We took it to the farm and set it. Came back two days later and had six pictures of nothing but our feeder and the camera wasn't working. Batteries were good, but we couldn't get camera to respond to anything. Sent it back today for a refund. May explore buying Cuddeback instead."
