Don't Buy,

"Bought one, was initially impressed first two months. Recommended several friends to purchase and purchased three more myself. Ended up sending two back for replacement under 1 year warranty and now stuck with two non-functioning ones no longer under warranty. Flash quit working on two. LED display all broken up on all four. And now having problems turning on and off. Six cameras total and all six demonstrated a problem within two years. Happy at first, but very disappointed and feel I have wasted hundreds of dollars in the end."

Not a good Camera,

"Bought this camera Oct 21, 2009 on recommendation from a friend. His works mine worked first weekend.
Most pics of nothing. did get some decent night pics of a bear.
Second weekend most pics cut off with red and yellow stripes.
Third weekend, it won't turn on. Returned it for credit, will get something else this is a bad one."

"Purchased a month ago from knowledable salesman. The reviews were very helpfull with my selection.
Pictures are very good set on high resolution. Instructions easy to follow. Quiet and very good flash range. Hope it really is waterproof. Reccomend taking a selection of bunge cord lengths to fit various applications. No need to stretch them to the limit. Batt. at 85% after 3 weeks."

"I own three of these cameras and after the first couple months they all have problems. Either the flash stops working at night or they go through periods of not going off. Better to spend a little more and get a camera that works for the long term."

"Just went to get the camera for the first time and had 1300 pictures of all deer. Big Bucks small bucks, does tons of deer. Good picture quality and good display to let you know when the picture was taken. Easy setup too. will buy another one. Also put the camera up in the rain and went to get it in the rain so its water proof thats for sure"

"The sd locked has happen internal. I call the Moultrie office for help . Hmmm I get no responce from any on . I call the manager and still no call back. So there for no follow up on there cutomer service. I will not buy from Moultrie agian."

Save Your $$ - Get a Homebrew!,

"I have 3 of these cameras. Got them on sale for less than $80. There are a couple of main problems common to the Moultrie cams.
1. Flash burns out. I had one camera where the flash went out within a few months. Yes, Moultrie replaces them but what a hassle. And after the 1 year warranty expires, you're out of luck.
2. Batteries. These cams eat batteries like skittles! 6 D batteries will last you around 800 pictures or so. In Texas at a feeder, that's about 2 months max.
So, the cam may seem like a "deal", but once you figure out how much you'll spend in batteries, it's not worth it. I am switching to homebrewed cameras that use AA batteries that will last for 2000 pictures or so. With AA you can use rechargeable and not buy batteries for literally years. Plus you can get 4, 5, 6 or more megapixel cameras at a fraction of what a commercial cam costs."

No Flash,

"I have owned several Moultrie cameras, 5.0 and 4.0 megapixels. Biggest problem seems to be the flash going out and then have to send it back to Moultrie to get the flash fixed. They usually send me a new camera, but the camera that I've had for just 2 years, they sent it back to me, and said since it was more than a year old, there was nothing they could do. Thus far, every Moultrie camera that I have had, the flash has went out of all of them. But they are very user friendly and when flash is working, usually get pretty good pictures."

"I ordered this trail cam because of its cheap price and decent reviews. It is my first trail cam and this thing is simple to put up and operate. In two days I've only got pictures of squirrels and raccoons (that could be b/c of the small amount of deer sign in the area), but the quality of those pictures were pretty good. The only problem I have so far with this cam is the bungee cables...use your own b/c the ones that are packaged with this camera are not much."

"I am very impressed with the 2 i have. I have used them continuously throughout the season and haven't had to change the batteries at all. The photo quality is fantastic and the flash doesn't seem to concern the deer, fox's and wild dogs at all. At the price they are selling for now they really are a BARGIN!
My only negative is the units BULKY size..
Also very impressed that can use 4GB SD card.."

"I purchased 4 of these and the problem I am having is it says 60 days battery life, maby if it don't take any pictures, when I go to check the pictures I find nothing on them but my feed is all gone?, Batteries are dead with only 20 pictures?"

"You really need nothing more than this camera. It is dependable, you keep it clean and you are all set. I have a version that take a rechargable battery (very nice) and I charge it once per year and it will last summer through late fall. The pictures are very good, the flash reaches far enough. I gave it a 4 because the trigger speed could be a little fast but I honestly don't think I have missed a thing."

"I used this Moultrie camera for 2 seasons. It now will not power up.And yes it has fresh brand new batteries in it.
After emailing Moultrie with no response and trying to call Moultrie several times I finally got my call through after waiting over 40 min. on hold on the phone. The technician told me that they could not fix it for what I could buy a new Moultrie for. I said thanks any way. I am going to go buy the trail camera everyone says to buy. A Cuddeback. Do yourself a huge favor and spend the extra $$$. Buy a Cuddeback!"

"I got this camera 2 years ago in December, The second night out i caught a solo coyote smelling some deer tracks in the snow and it proved itself to me. "I bought 2 of these cameras about one month ago. The first one ive put out has taken about 2000 photos, most of them are pictures of grass and trees. The other camera had some issues in the begining with the sd card moultrie provided. It basically did not work and ruined the card. I used a different brand of SD card and it now works. Picture quality is excellent for the price of the camera. Ive caught some nice bucks and cant wait to try a few more spots, might even purchase a couple more of these cameras."
