Garmin NUVI 1350,December 25, 2009
By Banker1from Asheville, NC
"I have had factory navigation in my last 3 vehicles and the 1350 was a Christmas gift for my "Saturday/deer hunting truck". It is very user friendly and easy to use right out of the box. I have found it to be very acurate even with rural addresses. You will not be disappointed."

No USB to unit nuvi 1350 adapter,November 14, 2009
By Edwrd
"I bought it several days ago but haven't yet got to use it. I could of used it by pluging it into my car (12V DC), because it comes with a 12v dc adapter. The problem with that is you haven't got the latest nuvi 1350 online updates. I think for the price of the unit, it should have come with a USB to nuvi 1350 adapter.
I also expect that, when I get to use it. I will be very happy with it. Garmin is a quality GPS company. Although, I think they made a mistake by not including such an important link to software updates via the USB adapter. I'm sure that they would want their customers to be updated to the lastest software so that there product would shine. Thanks, Edward"

255W nuvi,October 4, 2009
By Kayde
"We are first time buyers and users of a GPS system. We read the other reviews before making our decision on which system we would buy. Went with the 255w and I am very impressed with the system. I have taken several trips recently anywhere from 4-18 hour trips and "miss nuvi" has really helped make my trips much easier and is very helpful. I really appreciate the recalculating tool. It was very simple to set up. It is fairly easy to program for your trip. It is nice to even just to use the Map portion of it to help see street signs. Although many people stated the voice prompter was difficult to hear I have to be honest...I have my tunes typically "booming" and I can hear "miss nuvi" over the tunes quite well. I'll have to have my husband try it as he has ringing in his ears...I suppose I could see the possibility of him having a slight problem with that portion of the gps system.
Thanks cabela's for a great product once again!"

"I used this on the road and fishing lakes after I added lake map program and loved it. It was easy for even a challenged electronics person to use and accurate. It helped me catch more fish on a new lake. The highway use got us right to a hospital when we needed it."

Garmin 265 wt dissapointed with unit,September 10, 2009
By Hermandofrom Redwood City , California
"I was interested in purchasing a GPS as I will be retiring shortly and plan on doing alot of traveling. I borrowed a Garmin 205 w and a Garmin 255w and thought that the Garmin 265 wt with Blue tooth and some additional features would fill my specific needs. Both the Garmin 205 w and the 255w were very slow to aquire a sattelite connection, but I assumed the more expensive Garmin 265 wt would be a more efficient unit. My first 265 wt would take 15 to 20 minutes to find a sattelite connection. After the GPS connected it would show me on wrong streets or in a different town or show me driving when I was parked at a gas station fueling my truck. Calls to Garmin tech support were 45 min. to 1 hr. waits . When I reached a live person at Garmin they reffered me to the Web site for map upgrade down loads. These resulted in the GPS losing the sattelite completely while driving and the GPS could not connect for 20 minutes or more. After contacting Garmin I was told the unit was most likely defective, but since I purchased the unit from Cabelas to send it back to Cabelas not Garmin. I received a new Garmin 265 wt from Cabelas and had problems with slow sattelite connect and showing me on the wrong streets. I have had good response from the web site tech support at Garmin and the unit seems to be working OK now, but you need to be somewhat computer literate to deal with all the fixes. I am not a computer literate person and have also had to have friends who are computer deal with trying to get this GPS working right. Also the instruction manual you get with your GPS does not tell you much. If you have a printer you can print out the 57 page manual through the internet you can figure out how this GPS really works. There are still trouble shooting fixes that are not in the 57 page manual that only tech support can give you. I think this unit is working OK now, other than somewhat slow sattelite connect . I will be using this GPS for a week on vacation and if it still is erratic in operation I will return it for another GPS from another manufacturer. I suggest you do some research and either borrow a GPS from a friend and use it or drive a vehicle that is factory equipped with a GPS ( two vehicles I borrowed with a GPS factory installed worked fine. One was a rental car and the other belonged to my sister ? ) I do not know if portable GPS units are not as reliable as factory installed permanent units ? Drive Safely ! Hermando"

Good Unit for the Everyday Traveler,September 10, 2009
By MOfrom Northwest Ohio
"I have used this unit on a couple trips now and has worked very well. The only complaint I would have is that it looses where you are when you are underground but that is a given with GPS. This is a great unit for the money. I feel that I made a good purchase. I catch myself using it for routes that I already know just to make sure I've been taking the fastest route for years. This unit meet my needs and expectations."

user friendly,September 9, 2009
By StealthArcherfrom PA
"This is an excellent GPS unit at a great price. I recently received one as a gift. I had never used a GPS unit before but was able to master this unit in about 5 mins. It is extremely user friendly. The first week I had mine, I went on a trip and everything went like clockwork. It allows you the freedom to explore an unknown area without any fear of getting lost. I like mine so much, I purchased another and gave it to a friend. She loves hers too!"

"This thing is so easy to use and full of all kinds of good information. You can be anywhere and it will tell you how to get anywhere you want to go. It will even tell you where to buy gas or a place to eat. It's got stuff I haven't even had a chance to play with yet. I would call it a very fun toy, but make no mistake, it's a useful tool."
