Very nice for the price,November 3, 2008
By CustomManfrom Beloit, Wisconsin
"I would have rated this a 5 if the picture were as good at 100 yards as it is at 50 yards. The description reads as though it should be as clear but just isn't. That being said this is an awesome generation 1 scope. It is clear at 50 yards & very simple to focus. It's memory & sleep features are a definite plus. It's reticle is bright red, crystal clear & the various options are a great feature. I look forward to using the scope in the real world very soon."

NVSG2,November 3, 2008
By nvcallerfrom Montana
"Great scope and good performance. One of the scopes did not hold its zero the first time. It was probably caused by human error (bumped or base not tight enough), but time will tell. I own two of them (NVSG2) and they are great. Generation 1 scopes do not perform well in total darkness like the Generation 2 scopes do."

Buy the Paladin 390,October 16, 2008
By buzzkillerfrom TX
"I have killed 12 hogs with the Gen 1 model. All at 50 yds! I have to admit it's a huge upgrade from a red light. The drawback to this model is the IR illuminator. It's just not powerful enough! A 75 yrd target will be a challenge. I purchased an additional illuminator and with that upgrade, it works fine. This model is very easy to operate. The 5 reticle option and the remote contol are a huge plus! My hunting partner purchased the Paladin 390 that comes with a 450 IR illuminator. After using both, I can honestly say that he got the better deal. It's not a bad scope, but there are better options for the price! For the money, the Paladin 390 has a brighter and clearer picture!"
