Great Concept!,
November 12, 2009

"I like these… this seems to be a great concept! These flew very close, if not identical, to my 100 grain field tips. The only problem I had with them was loosing the o-rings. I was shooting into a Block Fusion target and, after only 3 to 6 shots per arrow, the o-rings either disappeared inside the target or tore (during arrow removal). I just continued to shoot them, minus the o-rings, and didn’t notice any changes in performance or accuracy. Also, be prepared, although arrow removal was a breeze, I had to frequently clean target debris from these tips, as they tend to “eat-up” the target more than standard field tips."

Different than expected,
September 16, 2009

"The RAGE practice heads work well if you plan on shooting the Rage 2-blade BH. Just keep in mind that it does add about an inch to the length of your arrow. Even though they weight 100 gr they do fly slightly different that a true field point. It took some getting used to. Also, I found that shooting them at straw or a foam target left remnants of both in the head itself. I also lost quite a few rubber rings at the base and you only get 3 extras with the BH set. I recommend they send more. All in all I am glad I bought them for practice. It leaves no surprises."

Practice Heads not Durable,
August 4, 2009
By milkweed
from Madison, Virginia
|
"These heads fly great. However, they are NOT durable. After shooting into a layered foam target for three evenings, 2 out of 3 practice heads showed significant damage. The dummy blades broke on one head and severely bent on the other. I am only shooting 64 pounds. All the rage manufacturers need to do is produce a one piece practice broad head that is aerodynamically the same and weighs the same. Probably less costly to do that produce the practice heads they are producing. The flight quality is great. I was hitting 60 yard bullseyes on the NFAA Field targets."

Must have for Rage users,

"This is an excellent product. These practice heads fly just like the real thing. I don't even practice with field points any more, I just stick with these. With the use of Rinehart targets and these practice heads will prove to increase your skills and confidence. The only draw back is that foam from your target will get stuck in between the practice blades, but its not that hard to get out. Besides I haven't noticed that it effects my arrow flight or point of impact. Great product"

Practice makes perfect,
May 19, 2009
By Allaboutthedoes

"A must purcahse. There is definately a difference between practicing with field tips and broadheads. It got to the point that I do not even practice with field tips anymore because I don't want to make even the slightest adjustment once I'm ready for the field. The only drawback is that despite claims from even the best targets, with extensive use, the tragets will get chewed up at a faster rate."

RAGE 2 BLADE PRACTICE HEADS,
October 2, 2008
By Nick63
from CEDARVILLE,NJ
|
"THEY ARE RUGGED AND CAN TAKE A BEATING, I FIRED ABOUT 8 OF THEM A THOUSAND TIMES IN A FEW WEEKS INTO TWO DIFFERENT BLOCK TARGETS AND A DEER TARGET. THEY WERE BACKED UP BY MY HOMEMADE BACKSTOP CONSISTING OF AN 8' BY 8' FRAME HUNG WITH 1/2" TO 3/4" CONVEYOR BELT. SOMETIMES THEY PENETRATED THE TARGET AND THE CONVEYOR BELY FROM 40 AND 50 YARDS. THE O-RINGS DO NOT LATS LONG BUT I GAVE THEM A THOROUGH BEATING. I ONLY HAD ONE BROKEN BLADE OUT OF ALL THOSE SHOTS."

Rage Two Blade Practice Heads,
September 9, 2008
By MrCrockett
from Bluefield VA
|
"I bought these by mistake. I decided to try them anyway along with my 3 blade practice heads. They fly just like the three blade as far as I can tell. Like they say in the ad "flies like a field tip." Did not have to adjust my sights like when I switched to broad heads in the past. My friend [who's last name really is Boone] recommended RAGE to me. If the broadheads are anything like he said, it will be parking ticket time for deer this fall. This is really good stuff!"

Good for target practice not for deer,
December 1, 2007
By brnkeck
from New Baltimore, MI
|
"Although I was pleased with the flight of these broadheads the performance in the field was average at best. The first time that I shot the actual broadhead was at a 6 point buck, I had used the practice heads only for targets. After the shot the so called O-Ring shock absorber broke making the entire broadhead useless. Not only that, the blades were bent. The shot was a broadside shot on the deer and so there were no large bones hit making me question the durability of the blades. Also there was no penetration through the deer. With the second deer that I shot this year I had the same results minus the bent blades. Although both of the deer were succesfully recovered I prefer more durability and penetration. The best thing that I could say about the broadhead is its accuracy. Hope this will help. Good Hunting."
