Good Arrow Rest,
April 24, 2009
By fzrdave
from Bay Area, CA
|
"It was very easy to install and quick to adjust; about twenty minutes altogether. I have shot a couple hundred arrows through it so far with no problems whatsoever. So, in my experience, it works fine. The self-cocking feature is also a very nice feature."

Ripcord installation/tuning,
March 3, 2009
By alks456

"Some info on recently installed Ripcord fall away rest. All installation and tuning has taken about 20 minutes, with just 2 adjustments for the rest cord length, and with the loop 1/7" over the arm, it showed such good arrow flight I don't think I'll have to perform a paper tuning. I did a vanes powder clearance test which it also passed for 100%. All went so flawless even boring, that I really didn't have an idea of what to occupy myself with for the evening hours. The bow: Hoyt Trykon, 73#, 28""

Switched from a Buscuit,
October 7, 2008
By Southernbuckeye
from Ohio
|
"I had a buscuit on my Diamond Marquis to start with and just recently changed to the rip cord drop away. It took a little time to tune but the tuning was simple. I still had fletching contact at first but moved the cable cord up a little and problem soved. Groups got tighter and with a little micro-fleece on the rest arms and the containment bar the thing is silent."

Don't trust this rest.,
September 20, 2008
By slaybacon

"This rest worked fine for awhile. I set it up according to the directions. Then noticed that the cord was slipping in the "no serve" football. Fletching contact followed, and then it quit falling altogther. I served it into the cable. Still inconsistent performance. On the tree stand this morning it wouldn't let down, after 2 1/2 hours of shooting yesterday with no problems. I haven't heard back from the tech department. It's been two weeks since I emailed them for assistance."

By far the best fall away I've ever used!!,
July 23, 2008
By tommb
from Western, NY

"Excellent fall away that actually lived up to all the hype. The first rest that actually allowed me to shoot a non-mechanical style braodhead! It falls fast, quietly, smoothly, and most importantly reliably. Being able to flip the rest into the up position for hunting is a great feature. This is an overal great rest that you won't be dissapointed by!"

pretty good not best,
May 11, 2008
By cage

"Good enough too get the job done. I liked the forks they had on there previous model better. They were smaller. This model has a beefier spring too fall away quicker for vane clearance. Better if you shoot feathers 4inch or smaller or blazer vanes. Cock feather up for best clearance ive found. Added some felt to rest to quiet arrow draw seems to work well. Replace every so often or it will get noisy again. Drew back on a doe and arrow made a terrible sound draging across felt deer actually took off it was so loud. Not sure if it was just cold on the felt or if it was too worn out. I shoot easton acc arrows off a matthews switchback. Ive killed several deer with this rest never heard that noise again. I think there is something better out there just waiting for someone to make it."

Good rest but not for shooting over 300 fps.,
March 13, 2008
By Buck160
from Cincinnati, Ohio
|
"I purchased 2 ripcords for both of my bows. Rest is very easy to set up and tune and seems like a quality product. The first bow I set it up on shoots around 270 fps, the rest worked flawlessly. On my second bow I am shooting around 300 fps and I had contact issues. The only way to eliminate the contact issues after several hours of tunning was to back off my poundage and bring the bow to around 280 fps. Anything over that and the rest just will not drop fast enough, that was even shooting 2 inch blazer vanes. I am still impressed enough to keep the rest on both bows, I will just have to shoot 4 inch feathers out of the faster bow to compensate for the contact issue. Also felt or mole skin is a must for the rest forks if you plan on hunting with this rest. Overall a great rest."

Not Recommended,
October 18, 2007
By hockeyhunter
from Big Rapids.MI
|
"I had this rest put on my Martin Cheetah Bow 70#, my fletchings hit all the way around, it doesn’t drop away near fast enough. The rubber arrow holder fell off on the second shot. To tip it off the spit forks both snapped off about the tenth shot. I would not recommend this product; pay the extra money it will be well worth it. You will save money on arrow repair and your arrow will come off straighter."

unbelievable,

By phonemandan

"This rip cord is unbelievable. Easy to set up, easy to use. I was using a whisker biscuit and couldn't get a group to save my sole. I changed to a drop zone and I couldn't keep the arrows on it when I would draw. I put this rip cord on and things are unbelievably in tune. What a difference. I can put them all in a golf ball size spot at 20 yards. Good enough for me!! Did I mention this rest is unbelievable?"

Worth every penny!,

By Hubb74

"I've shot a whisker biscuit for years and been pretty happy (even thought it tend's to be a little hard on arrow fletchings after several shot's). Ripcord is an excellent answer to that problem. Have shot this rest well over 1000 shot's (about 1/3 from the "capture" position), and has work quietly and flawlessly every time! It even tightened my grouping. I would recommend it to anyone!"

Ripcord Rocks!!,
February 10, 2007
By Hookedonarchery
from Medina, Ohio
|
"This is the best fall away rest i have ever used. It works flawlessly everytime at 3D shoots or or out in the hunting field under all weather conditions. The rest will lock in the up position so when you are hunting you can turn your bow at any angle and even upside down without the arrow coming off your rest. The construction is A-1. If you want a all around fall away rest you can use at 3D shoots or hunting I highly recommend this one."

"I was shooting a Whisker Biscuit and I thought it was doing fine. A friend suggested I try a ripcord. I love this rest!!! My groups went from "pie plate" size at 30 yards to the tightest groups I've ever shot!! In fact, I've "robin hooded" several arrows. I shoot an extremely fast bow set at 70 lbs. Had no problems at all. The rest is quiet and works flawlessly."
