"I bought this as a replacement of an older version of this pump. With the new "Mickey Mouse" ears it doesn't exactly fit in the same position as the older version. This pump is slightly larger."

"I had a mayfair pump in my boat for 20 plus years and she finally died...it was a pain to take out. This new pump is much easier to replace if needed, all you do is remove the motor all
the housing stays in place (great idea) but you must cut your
wires again. I soldered a two wire hook up harness connector on both the pump wires and the boat wires this way,if the pump goes again (which I doubt it will in the near future) I will
disconnect the pump wires from the boat wiring and remove the pump. Order new pump motor and replace the one connector end with the new pump motor then just twist in new pump and plug her in and your ready to go. The manufacturer should include a connector of some sort with it
other wise I would have give it a 5 star...the connector I used is similiar to the four wire trailer hookup but has two wires and can purchased at automotive or hardware stores it is very close to water proof and rust resistant...."

"Purchased this as a replacement for existing Mayfair pump in my bass boat. The plastic nipple of my pump had broken off. I was pleased to see some improvement with removable and adaptable nipples but still would like a more robust material for the body and nipple areas. Maybe some nylon reinforcement ?"

"After using this livewell pump all summer, I highly recommend it to anyone needing to replace one on your boat. It has worked flawlessly every time out. The only other advise I have is to back up your boat if the pump doesn't prime as soon as you throw the switch. Great Pump!!!"

"Replacement was easy. If your existing pump has a rubber washer between pump and transome wall, save it, as new pump does not come with rubber washer. Also would be nice if manufacture would include two waterproof wire nuts for elctrical connection."
