"Excellent purchase for the money. Used in 10 below weather on Montana duck hunt under waders. If there was way to make it waterproof, it would be five stars. Bottom portion of pants maybe difficult to get over larger boots."

"I am giving a 3 because they would be warm...especially if turned inside out under outerwear.
However i have an athletic build...with big thighs and hind end and they are a bit snug.
However if you had slightly skinnier legs then I would recommend as a layering garment"

"Very warm with layering; am pleased with quality. However the pants had a tear in the windshear lining; apparently someone tried the pants on in the store with shoes on and must have torn the lining. I did not discover it because I tried the pants on without shoes. Later at home, I felt the tear and now will have to send the item back after hunting season is over. Good idea to check lining before buying."

"These are great--though the ones I have feature Gore Windstopper which is a bit quieter that Cabela's Windshear barrier. They need zippers to the knee as the narrow legs are difficult to get over boots, but overall they are light and warm and worth every penny.."

Poor Pants!,

"Pants are warm, quiet and comfortable. However, for the price they are very poorly designed. First, they should have thigh pockets on front of legs. A must for all hunters to carry gloves, flashlights, calls, etc. Also, they should have had a fly with a front zipper(ie. for when nature calls) and zippers on legs. When I first tried the pants on I could not get them over hunting boots because the pant leg cuffs were to small. I realized this would be a major problem after coming in from hunting. Fighting to get these pants off is not something I wanted to mess with when I was cold, wet and tired from hunting. So, I bucked up and took the pants to a seamstress and shelled out an additional $20 to have zippers put on inside of pant legs from cuff up to the knees. This makes the pants very easy to get on and off now.
It is a shame that such a warm quiet comfortable pair of pants is so poorly designed. I believe most people would gladly pay a little extra to have the aforementioned changes made."

"I have the parka and the pants. Wore them the first week in January hunting in Idaho in three degree weather. It definetly kept me warm. The only problem I have is that the bottom of the pants should be elastic, so you can get them over your boots easier. Other than that if you want to keep warm, I recommend buying berber."
