"Circle hooks are required when fishing for reef fish in Florida waters. I am targeting large grouper. The Gamakatsu Circle hooks are strong yet not too thick, so they can penetrate the grouper's mouth easily. Haven't lost a fish that was this hook's fault."

"I use these hooks for catfish they work great!! I HAVE THEM IN ALOT OF SIZES!!LOL size #1 all the way thru 8/0 .I use the size #1's thru 6/0's on rod and reel 8/0 on my jugs and trotlines for big baits.These guys they are razor sharp out of the box-ive never found one that was not.Also very strong and durable to!!"

"I like these hooks alot because they are extremly sharp and when fishing for bullheads, that have a tendency to swallow the hook, These hook the fish in the bottom jaw or corner of the mouth. i have only gut hook one fish in about 75 fish and i cut it open to get my last hook back. (The others were lost to snags.) they also work very well for channels but i prefer khale for big channels"

"I would highly recommend these hooks to anyone who is interested in trying Circle Hooks for the first time or who is already using them and are looking for a better brand. These hooks are extremely sharp and the wide gap in the design is just perfect for hooking right in the corner of the mouth and staying hooked once it's been set. These are extremely strong. I have not had a circle hook perform like these hooks just awesome. I highly recommend that you snell your hooks for better performance and of course don't try to set the hook just start to crank real slow until you know the fish is hooked and then hold on for the ride! You can't go wrong in any type of water fresh or salt if you have these hooks at the end of your line they'll perform A+++"

"I feel that I could tow a Freightliner with these hooks. Every Gamakatsu hook that I have used are extremely strong and reliable. They are incredibly sharp and guarantee a perfect lip hook set every time provided you let the fish swim away from you and you reel instead of a violent hook set like conventional hooks.
