"The view is practically artistic...mostly use these for birding and wildlife. A little heavier than I would like, but I cannot complain about the results. The focus is a little tight, however I imagine that will ease with additional use. Disappointed with the lousy, cheap vinyl bag and for this much money one would think that lens caps would be included - but binoculars are all about the optics, and I'm impressed and very happy with the results."

"Just got a pair a month ago, before the prices went up. These are the best binos dollar for dollar. I cant see any difference between the conquest and the Swar. SLC or EL's. Im glad i got them and I'm sure they will be around for the next 10 plus years."

"I love the Zeiss name and the way these feel. They are very sharp and bright. My only complaints are that they give off a yellowish tint in the image, they have a cloudiness effect around the edges of the image and certain straight line objects (like a tree) can appear very distorted at the edges. Other than those issues, I like these a lot."

Used these in WV 2006 season, February 1, 2008

"I finally broke down and purchased a "good" set of Zeiss ABK binoculars. I should have done this twenty years ago. I used them to see antlers, through the timber, and at nearly dusk on a very large 9 point. He was just sneaking along, as everyone reading this will fully understand. The Zeiss's were great. They stay focused and very, very bright. The way they must do the lens allowed me to see him quite clearly. I have nothing but good things to say about the ABK's. I know they cost a good deal, but they were worth every penny. I would NOT have seen the antlers with my older glasses."

"These are a great binocular for the price. The optics are very sharp. The binocs have a solid, quality feel. They are actually 29 oz(not 24 as listed by Cabelas), but still not too heavy. They also have very good eye relief for wearing glasses.
We hunted in Namibia with a German professional hunter(PH). He saw the price in the catalog and was amazed that Cabelas was selling these at such a low price. He said that he could not get them cheaper in Germany when he went back to visit family. These inexpensive Zeiss binoculars are made in Hungary, not Germany, but they are still excellent.
We had 3 different PH's and 2 had older Zeiss binocs and 1 had an older Swarovski. I liked the Zeiss better, and the Zeiss are cheaper."

"This year I was able to hunt Elk twice, bow and rifle, in two very different parts of the Great State of Oregon. My Zeiss Conquest ABK Binos were AWESOME! Eastern Oregon is a vast expanse tall Junipers, broken up by deep fingers and heavy cover. Using a great pair of binoculars made a world of difference in being able to spot a feeding herd far off in the distance . Central Oregon is the complete opposite. Heavy timber and thick brush inhibit you from clear line of sights. The Zeiss COnquest ABK's were able to help me penetrate the forest so I could extend my vision and see the Elk hiding in the brush or deep cover. I was able to use them in long range spots and close quarter conditions. Very clear, very vivid color, very necessary for any hunting endeavor."

"I have purchased many pairs of binoculars over the years, from several different manufactures . My last pair was from a well known North American Manufacturer and were in the $500 range which I felt should get me a pretty decent pair. While up hunting elk this year I lost out on at least 4 legal Bulls because of dwindling light conditions and the fact that I couldn't be 100% they were legal 6 pointers. My partner had better binculars and they extended his hunting time by at least 1/2 an hour. I just happened to have my trusty Cabelas magazine in my bunk and noticed that these binoculars were on sale for a very reasonable price. That was it. I had always wanted a good quality pair of binocs but just couldn't justify the expence. As soon as I got home I ordered these Conquest's. Right away I found them to be very clear and I could actually look back into the darker areas of bush and see things in detail that my old binoculars had no hope of seeing. There is very little or no glare from the sun. They are light and seem to fit better when looking through them. Then when I looked through my old binoculars to compare them, it was like they coldn't be focused properly. This was due to the quality in glass no doubt. I will be ordering a Conquest Scope next.
(PS: My partner ordered a pair as soon as he looked through mine)"

"I was in Norwood, CO on an elk hunt with what I that was a pair of top flight binoculars. The outfitter and I wer each looking through our glasses. He said "look at that elk over there." I could not see it. After repeated attempts, he handed me his Zeiss 10/40s. I saw it, realized the difference, and bought some which I have used ever since. There is a difference."

"I have used the pair of binoculars on a mule deer hunt this year and can't say enough about them. They seem to be the clearest bino. I have ever used. I was spotting mule deer at 2 miles away on hill sides. At about 1000 yards, they were clear enough to tell a 4x4 deer from the one I wanted, which was a 4x5. I feel this has probably been the best and most effective purchase to my hunting outfit next to my gun, which is a must have. I also have a zeiss rifle scope that gives me the same quality as the bino's. I will say they are not cheap, but the quality outweighs the price in my mind. I would be first to say I would recommend these to anyone."

"This is an excellent Binocular you can't go wrong. The only thing I don't like is the carrying case it has velcro which is noisy and the Bino just fits so it is hard to put in and get out.
This binocular extends your hunting light dramatically and allows judging animals at long distance."

"I have always known that true quality optics are worth what you pay for them but just never could justify spending what it costs for top quality optics. My recent decision to purchase Zeiss binoculars is one of the best things that I have done. The comfort and clarity of glassing with these binoculars is truly impressive. I spent 7 full days using these binoculars constantly in my search for a trophy bull elk. Many early mornings and late evenings proved the worth of these optics in low light conditions. After tracking a bull through heavy snow in dense timber for the entire day I decided to "back out" of the canyon that I had him confined to. The sun was setting and the light in this narrow, heavily forested canyon was dissappearing quickly. Just as I had conceded to coming back in the morning to pursue this bull, I spotted him bedded in the timber. My new Zeiss binoculars immediately gave me distinct clarity on his exact position. I shot this large 6x6 to complete this dream hunt. Thank you Zeiss and thank you Cabelas!"

"The 10 x 40 Zeiss Conquest ABK Binoculars for the money you pay yield the best field binoculars available for the price. It is a tough, waterproof, lighweight binoculars, with high quality lenses. It focuses beautifully to the very fine images you are looking at.
The best feature I like is the extended eye pieces that give me excellent comfort and allow me to glass the mountains for long periods of time. I plan on this pair of binoculars lasting me a lifetime and then plan to pass them on to my son and grandson.
I wish I would have invested in this pair of binoculars long ago. Spending a little more money for the high quality that this pair of binoculars offer will more than pay for itself."
