"Works best if back of seat is propped against a tree (such as when used in a permanent tree stand or on the ground - would not attempt sitting on a pail in a portable stand). Straps worthless for back support. Recommend placing one 5 gallon bucket inside another for added height."

"The chair is comfortable. However, the attachment to the bucket leaves something to be desired. Don't lean back to far or it will come off and you will pick yourself up off the ground. It would be better if it was attached to a swivel lid that locked onto the bucket. It would be easier to access the contents of the bucket and not pull off."

Great comfort but design could be improved,

"The chair is very comfortable and can be used for long periods, even for a good sized person. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the way that it attaches to the bucket. It will stay on fine once you get it on but it is rather time consuming (relatively) and frustrating to pull the cloth around the edge of the bucket while balancing the chair and the bucket. Unless you want to carry it around with the bucket attached all the time it can be a waste of time especially in a dark duck blind on a dark morning. I solved this problem by purchasing a silent spin bucket seat and attaching the chair to it. The spin seat can stay attached to the chair while you carry and the best part is it snaps on and off of the bucket in 2 seconds. Plus it enables you to spin. I recommend that you get the two items together."

Duck hunt with Bucket Buddy,

"We duck hunt on a club in the San Joaquin Valley in California. The blinds are pit blinds with a round stool which can be raised or lowered. My 84 year old father has hunted 2 to 3 times per week on the same club for 65 years. He really appreciates the comfort of his Bucket Buddy. The seat fits on a stool perfectly. It was the least I could do for him since he has taken me duck hunting for years! He liked it so well that we now each have one."

"I used this chair for a tree stand and camp seat. The chair has great padding and kept me warm. The seat back has two supports that keep you basically straight up. It is light weight and easy to attach to my backpack. I would recommend this to anyone who is packing into an isolated area to hunt."

"I purchased this seat a little over a year ago and I am very satisfied with it. Mostly use it for ice fishing and I've never got tired of sitting on it. Folds flat so it's easy to bring along and it has great back support. There is no way I would go back to just sitting on a bucket w/ a pad on it. I would easily recommend it to someone that was looking for something like this."

"this seat is very comfortable in the field all day long . Wish it had a better way to attach it to a bucket or if Cabelas could make it come on a bucket with a screw on lid . I put all my shells in this and spare gear kept everything dry in the rain and snow all day long liked it so much bought 2 more .these are the perfect addition to the outfitter blind they are the perfect height to see out the blind for the great approaching mallards."

"seat works fine and does give some back support but not a lot. the reason for only 3 stars is it is camo on the inside but not on outside. you can reverse it but it will not attach to bucket and is not as comfortable."

"The bucket buddy chair was a nice addition to my hunting gear, it was comfortable and warm to sit on all day.
The only negative thing about it is the way it attaches to the bucket, I thought that you could attach it to the lid of the bucket and have a snap on water proof container for shells, lunch what ever. This didn't work for me.
All in all I am satified with my purchase."

"I have used this seat on a bucket, on the ground and on a wood bench in a duck blind. It is easy to transport and the back reast makes for a comfortable seat. I especially like that the bottom seat is not flat. It keeps blood flowing better than a regular flat seat."

"I purchased the seat a while back and it sits better than I could have ever imagined. I use the chair in my deer blind and it works just perfect. Unlike like most chairs you are able to sit hours on end without getting uncomfortable. The extra hours in the stand might just pay off. Thanks for the wonderful product."
