"good- easy to put on and take off--very comfortable--they stretch out some with use, so don't need to oversize--4 hours in mud, good waterproofing--still dry."

Comfortable but leaked,March 2, 2010
By NebraskaJoefrom Nebraska
"I also noticed these boots leaking within the first week. I just kind of discounted it, and just kept wearing them. After about 4 months of wear a ridge developed in the ball area of the foot making them unwearable. Danner exchanged them extremely quickly and I am giving the second pair a try. Besides the leaking which, seems to be a common concern among re-viewers, I will discount the insole issue as a fluke. I will say that they are by far the most comfortable boot I have ever worn. I work in them on average three days a week and am pretty hard on boots. They externally do seem to handle intense outdoor work and might give another pair a chance when the time comes."

not 100% water proof,February 10, 2010
By Buddlyfrom fort atkinson, wisconsin
"I liked the boots at the start, no break in needed, quiet for bow hunting, but I wore them for fishing during the spring rains and they leaked bad, it was like standing on sponges...I was in a boat with elavated floor, with rain gear on, the water came thru the seams on the upper tow area I figure, the boots went back"

"LIGHT WEIGHT AND COMFORTABLE OUT OF THE BOX. A VERY WELL MADE BOOT. I DONT CARE FOR THE SMALL LACE CLIPS. LARGER CLIPS WOULD MAKE LACING FASTER AND EASIER."

Good boots,January 18, 2010
By mcdavisfrom Brookfield, WI
"I'll give it five stars because they don't allow half stars so I will round up. I like the boots! The fit well, they are light, they look good and they are easy on the feet. The only drawback that I see is that when lacing them up they come un-laced as you get near the top as you tie them. I would have preferred a pair or two of eyelets like I had with my Danner Elk Hunters that these replaced. I had them for almost 12 years and I really like them. The padding is a little thicker that my Elk Hunters too just and issue when tying while wearing jeans. Otherwise I really like em so far."

WET FEET,January 12, 2010
By CHASMOfrom Arizona Buisness owner
"Right out of the box to an elk hunt in the snow, the fit was great and the boots were warm. Now the bad part after the first day the boots leaked and my feet were very cold. If we had not stayed at a motel and been able to dry them every night I would have been in serious trouble. Don't by these if you need a water proof boot."

Danner Pronghorns,December 29, 2009
By blancocountyfrom Central Texas
"I bought these to hunt mule deer in the Texas Trans-Pecos area and whitetails in central and south Texas. Hunted Jeff Davis Co. Tx, in the mountains at about 6000 ft elevation on Dec. 19--23. Rough country and the boots were excellent. Good support and stability. Comfortable. I wish the lacing hooks were a bit deeper to make them easier to lace up, but that is my only criticism. My son has a pair that are 4 years old now. He has used them in Texas, in Paraguay, and in Alaska and they still are in good shape. Just keep them clean and use Lexol on the leather whenever it starts to look dry."

Great light weight do anything boot,December 22, 2009
By Anthony3024from Austin, TX
"This is my 1st pair of Danners and I wish I had switched sooner. Great boot design, comfortable and eyelit design helps keep boot sinched tight as you tie shoe laces. I have a narrow foot and the D size fits like a glove. Other danner shoes I tried on didn't seem to be as narrow....not sure why. Use in Texas where weather is very hot and this is definietly a year round boot."

Best field boot ever,December 15, 2009
By Gunther2from Texas
"I am on my second pair. I have walked mile after mile with my Danner boots in Colorado Mule Deer Hunting, in Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas Pheasant and Quail hunting. My feet have never held up this well before. No blisters or discomfort. I hope these boots are available from now on. I am going to pick up a spare pair just in case they ever change them or quit making them."

New Favorite,December 2, 2009
By dg243from Idaho
"I purchased a pair of Danner Pronghorns ONE DAY before my fall elk hunt this year because the boots I had picked up from a different manufacturer were coming apart after only two months--the Hells Canyon country in Idaho is hard on boots. The Pronghorns are very well made, and comfortable enough that I did not blister even during break-in. My next pair of boots will definitely be Pronghorns."

Danners Rock,November 24, 2009
By billybadgerfrom north east wisconsin
"this is the second pair I have purchased in as many years, first pair I cut a hole in them splitting wood, any how, purchased them in mitchell, SD and huntrd pheasant with them them the rest of the week, comfortable and kept my feet dry even going through the marshes. I have owned about 7 or pair of danner boots, I where them everyday for work year round, rain snow mud, they are the best brand I have ever owned, it is defiantly a get what you pay for deal when it comes to boots, review could have been a five but I never give perfect scores, add a boot dryer and you cant go wrong"

Leaky boots,November 12, 2009
By BirdhunterBillfrom Duncannon, Pennsylvania
"I bought a pair of Danner Uninsulated Pronghorns for upland bird hunting because they were lightweight, comfortable and they carried the well respected Danner name. They started leaking after about 10-12 days of wear. In a couple spots I noticed that the stitching started to fray and tear loose from exposure to multiflora rose and other briars. In my opinion, these boots really are not tough enough to withstand the rough terrain and vegetation typically found in northeastern bird cover. On a brighter note, Cabela's accepted the return."
