"When I got the replacement blades in the mail I had a lot of meat to finish grinding, so I went straight to work on it. The blades worked great and were a great fit in my older grinder, which is a hand crank model that has had a high torque electric motor installed on it. Glad the blades came when they did."

They do the job,

"These are good parts as long as you keep them oiled between uses (use an NSF rated lubricating spray-- don't use vegetable oil or it will gum up).
Only downside is that these parts are cast stainless steel and some have stress cracks in them. Hence, we order replacement parts."

"I replaced the original blade of my Cabela's grinder this season, after approximately four years of hard use. The difference in the performance of my grinder with the new blade was immediately apparent. After running 30 lbs. of pork butt, I checked the blade and was suprised to see very minimal buil-up of connective tissue/gristle. I will be interested to see if the durability of this blade is equal to the original. So far, so good."

"We recently purchased a 1 1/2 horse grinder. We really liked the grinder and were able to process the first 2 deer with no problem. We made sausage, baloney, jerky, and hamburger. On our 3rd and 4th deer, we broke a blade due to a missed bone and had to use a replacement. Since then we have broken 4 total blades and have had to throw the meat away from metal fragments from the shattered blades. It seems like the blades are faulty as they seemed to splinter even when getting started to grind the meat. It takes very little pressure to shatter the blades. I am not sure what to do next for blades as I would like to continue to use the grinder."

"This is a great blade I have used it on 12 elk and 4 deer this season, and still going strong. The whole grinder is great. The reason I had to replace the blade is I dropped the origanal and chiped it."

"The replacement worked well, as did my original blade, the only beef I have is that my original broke in half when it fell out of my hand and hit the floor. I think it had a flaw from the start, and feel I am lucky it didn't break while grinding, other wise I could be very upset with a wrecked grinder. Maybe someone should let your supply know because maybe they made a bad batch."

"I purchased the 1 hp "Commercial Grade" Meat Grinder last year. After having ground up 5 elk since last year, it quit on me. The trouble shooting guide says to replace the switch. I was very happy with this item until it broke. Its only a little over a year old. For what I paid for it, I would expect a longer effective life."
