"I should have read the reviews before I bought. Set the barometer just as instructed and after 4 weeks the needle never moved. Watched as a storm rolled in and even then it didnt change."

"Baramoter does not keep up with reported barometric readings and changes. It's a toy, more than the real thing. I would encourage anyone to get a real barometer, but if you want a gadget, this is one. a great conversation piece."

2 Broken Barometers,

"The 1st barometer didn't work at all, I set it to my local pressure and it never moved at all despite obvious pressure changes during the week.
I sent it back and got a replacement barometer, I set it and it actually worked for about 4 days and I was happy to start seeing the product actually working and being able to track the pressure changes without having to resort to going online to weather sites all the time. I noticed it started to be considerably off after 4 days so I reset it to the confirmed local pressure again. At this point it stopped working and like barometer 1 it just sat there and didn't change at all.
Sending this one back too, I give up on these."

"Number 1 Well made, I take it with me in my boat, can get on water changes on the lake. Have a good idea if a strom, or a front is moving in. If you are a fisherman a must. GOOD FISHING."

"Unit is accurate enough for what I bought if for: To watch swings in barometric pressure, and the affect they have on fish activity. I've used the unit several times since the month I bought it, and have been pleased with its performance. Would have given it 5 stars, but it gets some moisture under the face."

"I got this to help me figure out when the fishing will be better. it is very accurate. you might have to tap it, but it will give you good readings and if you use the marker, you can tell weather the pressure is rising or falling. A must have for fishing and camping."

"A nice fishing barometer...once it's adjusted for the local are...easy enough, just check the local weather by putting in your local zip code...adjustments are made from behind with a screwdriver ( regular )
We are not going for dead nuts accuracy,
What were looking for is just what direction the barometer is going...IE Rise, Steady.or Falling....to make a better determination as to what kind of lure to use on the "Old Bass"...Good Luck....a nice toy for the tackle box."

"I like keeping a barometer around in different locations e.g., vehicle, home, tackle box, etc. It allows me to know what the weather might do in any given situation. The barometer offered by Cabelas is small, allowing for portability, and very indestructible."

"Well the marker needle moves around too easily, so you can't keep track of whether it's going up or down. I wish it was smaller. And most importantly it's not very accurate. My other barometer is always right in line with my local weather report. This one needs reseting a lot and just isn't right a lot of the time."
